with eating less calories your bathroom routine has changed? Seems I use to be in there every morn after my coffee & raisin bran - not so anymore
Is it possible my body doesnt have so much waste anymore?

One thing I learned from all the dog nutrition books I read, and from personal experience with my dogs... the better quality foods that I feed them, the less waste they produce. If you are going to feed your dog Alpo, that is full of fillers, you'll have mounds of it. If you feed something like Flint River Ranch, even Science Diet, etc., you'll have much less to clean up.

So, taking that to us. The same thing holds true. If you aren't eating alot of fillers, you won't produce as much waste.

One thing I've noticed is that both my DH and I are much less, ahem, gassy since going on Atkins than before.

Ahh, the benefits!
 
Also, less food means less waste! If you used to eat X amount of food you got some portion of X back out :o
Now you eat less, so you get less back out.

OK, have I added enough to the grossness factor? :p

Okay....now that I have stopped laughing at the tiddy bowl man above I can answer. I have seen a definite change in that department, before I started WW I could time like clockwork when I would need to go, but now I can't and I can sometimes related to the little man's facial colors above. I have also been forced to purchase my first ever tube of Preperation H. I have thought I need to incorporate something new into my diet, just haven't figured out what it is yet.
 
hey -most of us our seasoned mothers and this isn't anything new to talk about, huh?

I have never been clockwork, but I actually think I go more! I thought my metabolism was so messed up that my body didn't know how it was supposed to process food anymore. Anyhow, tiggerlover, have you ever tried Benefiber which is a powder you add to water. It's not as gritty as metamucil and doesn't gel up. Or I bought a box of apple-cinnamon metamucil fiber wafers, they come in packs of two and they are 1 pts each and they taste like a little graham-cookie, they aren't bad. A pack of those with a cup of hot tea?

Also, I have noticed on days when I "cheat" I spend way more time in the bathroom, but I'm like "hey! keep it processing through, no time to stop and absorb all those extra calories!!"

Well, perhaps IMGTD should be eating Benefil. It would fit.
