Grolier Christmas Figurines (and theme parks)

Since the late 70's Grolier has produced an annual bisque figurine for Christmas. My Dad has been buying the series off of Ebay, and he's having trouble locating the 2000 piece. On of the people who he has bought from, told him that she had collected the series since the first year, but in 2000 she kept being told her piece was back ordered, back ordered, back ordered than canceled, so she never got the 2000 piece.

Does anyone know what the 2000 piece is?

Also there is a similar series that was sold at Disneyland, under "The Disney Collection." How long did this series run? I think the last one my Dad found was 1995, but he wanted to know if there were more.
