Grocery stores near each DVC resort

Is there a master list of grocery stores nearest to each of the DVC resorts? We want to go to Publix when we stay at AKV but I would like to have a list for when we stay at the others.

I would be happy to compile and maintain it if people have info to contribute Ideally I would like to have resort then store name and store address (so it is GPS friendly!)

the publix closes to akv is different than the other publix.

but there is a publix close to everyone.

Vineland is in both Orlando and Kissimmee - there is a publix at both places. anything to make directions more difficult.

you go down Osceola Parkway - turn right at Gaylord Palms - big hotel you can't miss it - go under the overpass - on your left is a Publix

for orange lake (the one I think is closer to you)
leaving AKV - at the light turn right (shertberth road) about mile turn right (it is the first right turn to a road) - black lake road - then get on US 192 when it quits - don't remember it is one or two traffic lights (it is definitely on the otherside of the 419)

the other two are closer to SSR and OKW and probably VWL and BLT

For AKV it's the Orange lake one if you sneak out the back way to 192. For OKW & SSR it's the one on I drive by the outlets but the WD is a little closer still but not necessarily quicker. For BWV and BCV it's pretty close between the Orange Lake going out Western way to the toll road and the one on 192 close to the Gaylord Palms. Super WM is about the same distance on osceola parkway with a small toll. Super target is going in across from Orange Lake.

Several years ago we bought one of the sunpass transponders and registered all our vehicles (which you can do and change online). We have it set to auto update when it gets low. IMO, the tolls is a small price to pay for a direct route with less traffic and less gas costs. I too avoid tolls where reasonable but in many situations it's actually cheaper and easier.

The closest from a walking standpoint is maybe around 3/4 of a mile from DD at the Crossroads. For this situation I'd just use a delivery service.

It is, it's at the corner of Poinciana and 535 right beside Osceola Parkway.

Yes you can. You can register and change registrations on the fly online. Most most of us the problem with a rental car is you won't have the info up front. But I'm not sure the legalities involved. I did look online and didn't seen anything related to using a pass with a rental car if you have your own. Still all you need is the tag and car info so I don't wee why it wouldn't work.

For AKV, the Publix on Orange Lake, mentioned above, is only a five to seven minute drive from the resort.

The only Publix I have been to from the Boardwalk is the one near the Timeshare Store. Is that one of these mentioned? Are any of the others closer? Thanks.

I don't know about close, the one on I Drive is maybe 3 miles or so closer than TSS which is fairly near Seaworld if I recall. The closest ones to BWV are all on 192, either near Arabian Nights (behind Gaylord Palms) or literally behind AKL right beside the new toll road, 429 and Orange Lake Country Club. The I Drive one is right across from the Premier Outlets and behind where Dixie Stampede was and not that much further if you hit I-4 off Osceola Parkway.

Yes, the one I go to is right near Sea World, that's the only one I knew of, from all the years of flying in from NJ. That's where the towncar always took us, so I just assumed it was the closest one.

Yes, Dolly Parton is Dixie Stampede. There are probably at least 6 or 7 closer than SeaWorld from the EPCOT resort area though I'm not sure exactly which one you're referring to off hand.

Over New Years we were at the Boardwalk and I needed to get supplies. I went to the front desk and asked for directions to Publix and they gave me a printed list with directions to there and a number of other places. I assume that the other resorts have the same thing so you can always check with them.
