Grocery Store Nearest the Resorts

We are arriving at the Beach Club next Monday 6/11. I was thinking of using the garden Grocer, but now I'm thinking of just renting a car from national (at the Dolphin) and going the the nearest grocery store once I get in. The car will cost me $45 after taxes etc. I think I can make this up by shopping myself at the nearest store given the fact that the Garden Grocer charges 8.99 for a 24 pack of water and 8.49 for a case of Pepsi. Add in the $12 delivery and $1.99 fuel surcharge, the rental would be paid for almost.

So where is the nearest grocery store?

There is an Albertson's south on Harbor, a Food 4 Less west on Katella, and a Walmart north off of I-5.

Last fall we were at OKW. I took a taxi to Publix (driver recommendation), told him to come back in a hour. He was right on time!

Walmart, Super Target and Publix are easy to get to from all WDW areas. The front desk should be able to give directions to the store that you want to go to. I was there in January and wanted Publix subs for lunch so we went to the guest relations desk at Animal Kingdom and they had printed directions to several stores all on one sheet.

But the drive to California in the rental car is a long one.
