Grocery Stop Question

Hello All

I couldn't find this on another thread, so I was hoping you could help me. I was planning on renting a fridge for our room at POFQ. But then I started wondering if the grocery stores sell coolers? All we would need would be one of those styrofoam ones to store water, milk, and juices. We are using Tiffany Town Car. Has anyone been recently and know which store they stop at and if they sell disposable coolers? Thanks a lot for your help

We do this every time and with Tiffany Town car as well. Just be sure and request the grocery stop ahead of time and then remind the driver and ask for a larger chain. Its usually been Albertsons or Publix both of which were fine. We have always found a styrafoam cooler and started with a bag of ice. In addition to the $$ we save by buying breakfast food, snacks and a couple sandwich lunches it saves $10.60 a day on the fridge.

I find that draining the water and adding new ice each morning and then again in the evening keeps everything very cold - including milk and beer. One hint is to use juice bags instead of boxes if you can as the boxes do get soggy. I also grab a box of zip locks bags to keep things like leftovers and raw carrots etc from getting to wet.

Thanks for the reply TJ We will definitely do the cooler instead of renting the fridge. Thanks for the tips on keeping things cool and not soggy.

If you pre-order your supplies from Albertson's, they can also provide a styrofoam cooler as part of the order. You can ice the stuff down when you reach your resort.
