Grocery Orders

Hi, I need some ideas on where to order groceries and water from.... phone numbers or web sites. I will be staying at Old Key West. Also is there someone that delivers beer and is this allowed? Thanks all, Terri

The two places I'm considering are www.gardengrocer.com and www.wegoshop.com

I placed an order with Garden Grocer for our trip in 2 weeks. They do not have alcohol listed on their website, but you can order it. I called them to get prices & added that amount to the gratuity. In the comment box I put what the extra gratuity was for & what type of beer we wanted.


You need a $40 min order & this does not include alcohol & there is a $12 delivery charge.

We have used wegoshop for the last few trips. You can order whatever you want and they will go to whatever store you want them to (including adult beverages). Marge Peck is the WDW shopper and she is just wonderful. We just confirmed everything for our delivery on Monday. We have been very happy with their service.

Thank you so much for the info....I am going to make some calls today. I was just worried about my sister and her 6 month old she was thinking about baby food and water, rather than try to pack that stuff and bring it on the plane. Thanks again everyone for the replies, Terri

another vote for www.wegoshop.com and Marge Peck. Everything was perfect, delivery was on time to our room in minutes of arrival, etc. You can talk with her directly as well. real sweetheart. I liked that she will shop where ever you want her to and there is no mark up just a set delivery fee.

I too orderd from Wegoshop. I can get things from my store choice and you can get alcholic beverages as well if you want. She is really nice, helps with figuring out what time is best to have your delivery if you have ME.

I would go with them they seem great so far!

gardengrocer seems like it may be more expensive for the same items at walmart. I am sure its a bit pricer based on location but I would also think it will be less then some of the other stores in the area too.

Another vote for Marge Peck and wegoshop.com. We have used them 5 times in the past and been totally satisfied. They will shop at whichever store you choose. The cost is the cost of the goods plus a set delivery fee. You can schedule your delivery to a time convenient to you. You can order adult beverages. I think you must be present for them to deliver alcoholic beverages (Florida law, I think) so those orders could not be delivered to Bell Services. Check, but I am nearly certain about that.

Anyone know what the delivery fee is on wegoshop? I'm assuming that since it is totally personal depends on how much you order? For example - a case of water, 2 cases of beer, couple of bottles of wine - apples and oranges - no idea where to shop as I'm not familiar with US Supermarkets... Any guesses? - just trying to determine if it will be worth it. Thanks everyone.

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $17.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $22.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $32.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of grocery total shop & delivery fee

FYI: Incase alcohol is something you're considering....you ARE allowed to pack up to 5 liters in your CHECKED bags (each person) when you fly....might save you some $$!

We used Garden Grocer and it was great. We were on a very late flight and did not have time to go to the grocery store.

One warning: When Bell Services delivers your stuff, make sure they also bring your COLD food. Ours was stored in a fridge in some storage room and it took us several hours to track it down.

I read on a thread here somewhere that one of the resorts carged $0.40 per pound to hold a delivered package-- did I read that correctly? Is that for grocery deliveries like the ones we're discussing here?

We used gardengrocer in October, fantastic service and the order was completely accurate.

Used Garden Grocer at the end of September and they forgot some of our order, and despite assurances they would come back with the rest, it never appeared, and no real excuse why, as we were there for 3 weeks!

Next time I will try wegoshop.
