Grocery delivery to WDW resorts

We have ordered from Garden Grocer five times now and very happy each trip. Once they forgot something on our order and returned to our resort to deliver it before we even realised it was missing. In all our trips to CSR we have never been charged a handling fee for groceries. I think they only charge you if it is a regular parcel which goes to the convention centre (we have had American girl dolls delivered there twice and they charge a handling fee for them.) The groceries are left at bell services and other than your bell services tip no fee is charged :)

Is it wrong I'm now pricing up my order and I don't go until September 2013 :rotfl2: Did have a bit of a :scared1: when I saw delivery was $12 but then when I think it'd cost me more in a taxi to/from a supermarket plus all the carrying!

Also struggling to decide on 2ltr bottles of Mountain Dew or a crate of smaller bottles, lol.

No it's not wrong - it's organised! ;)

For what it's worth, I order sun creams and things from Amazon and just had a look (actually I looked earlier while at work :rotfl:) and they also do bottled water and sodas. Obviously you won't get fresh produce from the store but that is another option. If I add a case or two of bottled water to my basket with the sun cream, plus a box of snacks and dried fruit I get free delivery :)

Of course if I want fresh fruit and things like that, then I would be better off ordering from GG or Wegoshop so that I make the qualifying spend for delivery.

Oh and yes, it has always cost us circa $40 return to Premium Mall or vicinity by taxi from DTD once tip is paid so a $12 deliver fee is nominal unless you want to make a day of shopping

Nice to have options

We were looking into the garden grocer option last year and this year. However I want to go shopping and see what else is available.

DH and I are planning to go to the Hess station opposite DTD for a few bits rather than pay more than we need to to get stuff delivered. If that makes sense.

Also DH is picky about what beer he drinks so he wants to choose it himself.

I just get the water from the CS places. Though if we bottled water drinkers then I agree that getting it delivered is a far cheaper option than what they charge in WDW.

most things are available at Hess, the one at DTD is the easiest to get to from the resorts using the bus system or a walk from SSR.If staying at the Epcot resorts the easiest one to get to is the Hess outside the Boardwalk(this one bigger and has more stock than the DTD one).

Considering doing the same thing. Is the hess at the boardwalk walkable from there?
Also would like to know if wallmart do delivery:confused3 and how much they charge.:confused3
