Grocery Delivery Services

Another poster mentioned fooddeliveryorlando.com (I think) which will deliver take-out to your hotel...well I noticed they will also delivery groceries. The site says that the delivery charge is $4.99, but I'm not sure if that only applies to take-out.

Anyone try them for grocery delivery? I need to order from garden grocer, but they orlando delivery would be much cheaper..

I never heard of this one before but I've heard good things about Garden Grocer. We were planning on trying them in a couple of days. I think the delivery charge is $12.

Okay I just looked at both websites and I think Garden Grocer is the way we are going to go. It just looks easier to me. I just want groceries though.

WeGo and Goodings.

I looked at Garden Grocer and they just don't seem to have the selection I need. Of course they are the least expensive delivery option. I'm going to double check that but that was my first impression.

WeGo will go to the store of your choice with a list and Goodings is a local store. Pretty sure we are going to go with Goodings, they have everything I need and it's easier to pick from their offerings than create a list by brand for WeGo. Goodings may have the highest delivery charge but the grocery prices seemed comparable in many cases and I'm positive I couldn't get all the items at the resort store so between resort markup, lack of items available and the lack of a car on our part it will be $25 well spent.

The one true plus about WeGo is that they will deliver beer and wine but you have to be present to accept it and show ID. Doesn't work for us as we arrive late and the point is to have stuff there when we get there but, if we had a different flight time, I'd probably bother with it as the resort pricing on that stuff is crazy!

gardengocer will also supply beer and wine, you just have to add it to the special comments section or call them. They will also get you things that aren't listed on the website, just let them what you need and they will get it.

We used gardergrocer in October & the next time we go, I will use them again. It was $12 for delivery.

We just got back and we did Garden Grocer. It worked out so well. We were very happy with the service. The only thing that I would do differently would be to add a tip right away when paying online. We thought we would be at the resort in plenty of time for our delivery. We never made it on time and wasn't able to tip the delivery guy. But because we weren't there we found out how LS handles Garden Grocer. They make sure all of the cold and frozen stuff stays that way. Just make sure when you pick it up you remember what you all ordered. I can't wait to use them again.
