This May will be our first trip to WDW without a car.
We would like to have a one time delivery of groceries to our resort. We like Pubix but are open to any service like Walmart, Kroger, Target......
We have no accounts with grocery delivery services.
Are there any places that do a one time delivery to our resort without having an account?
What is the typical cost?
How does it work? Do they deliver to the gate or front desk of your resort and you need to meet them?

I've used a couple over the years but find that Doordash is the most reliable and quickest delivery. You can download the app to your phone. They will normally shop at the store you choose and most all the local grocery stores are included.

You'll get a text message when they're arriving at your resort and you meet them outside of the lobby entrance.

We do grocery delivery every trip, and we have found it to be incredibly easy! You may need to make an account if you do Walmart/Kroger/Target just because they'll need things like your address/billing info. We've found when creating accounts, you'll often get free delivery for signing up, which is nice. They'll deliver to your resort and bell services will store everything (and refrigerate perishables) until you can pick them up.

Since you know and like Publix go to this website and all your questions will be answered 🙂.

I use BJs and Whole Foods for deliveries but also use them at home. Since I’m an Amazon Prime member I don’t pay for delivery for WF or Fresh as long as I’m spending at least $35.00. BJs is free with membership and I’d guess the same is true for Sam’s and Costco.

Not a fan of any delivery service (UberEats, Door Dash, FreshDirect or Instacart, etc) if they charge a higher percentage for delivered goods per item plus a delivery charge.

Absolutely yes to this! We looked into Instacart, and it's dramatically more expensive than just simply going through a grocery store's delivery system.

For all following this thread. Publix uses Instacart for deliveries. Kroger delivery actually uses refrigerated trucks to deliver your groceries from a centralized warehouse vs individual grocery stores.

I thought I read somewhere on this site that someone posted that they had a problem because they were requesting a delivery hundreds of mile from they account's zip code?
If we set up an account with Walmart for example and enter our local zip code, will we have a problem trying to get a delivery in Florida?

Not if you make sure you check the correct delivery address and shop in the correct zip code for the resort. I accidentally ordered something from Walmart and it still has the YC address so my very expensive item got delivered to YC instead of my home. Disney called me and asked if I wanted them to hold onto it. I told them it was a mistake so they returned to Walmart for me. But when I intended for it to go to YC, I had no issues (either time, apparently 🤪)

You are definitely not the only person who has done this :)

If Target or Walmart have what you want, you might be able to do a free trial of their delivery service.

If you have an account (because you order stuff online) but don't have the delivery service, make sure you know what your account password is, if you plan to add the delivery service when you get there!

Also, set a reminder for yourself to discontinue the delivery service after the free trial. If you don't, it might automatically roll over for 1 year, with an appropriate charge to your credit card.

Instacart also might have a free trial, if you want to order from Publix.

Does Amazon deliver to a WDW resort and will the resort accept the delivery?
We get free delivery thru Prime and wonder if it would work to the resort. We’d just be having some snacks delivered.

Yes, Amazon delivers for both Amazon Fresh (think that’s what it’s called) and Whole Foods. Will also make other vendor deliveries.

Amazon will deliver to WDW resorts. Be aware, however, that some of the resorts charge a fee for accepting delivery. It seems like it is only at the convention resorts, but I'm not positive. We have had acceptance fees charged at Yacht Club and Swan (I know Swan isn't a WDW resort, but the information might be useful).

Are you sure they charge an acceptance fee for front office deliveries OR do you mean they charge for room deliveries? Had deliveries made to BW and AK btwn 12/20 and 02/02 with no fee. We did pick them up from the front desk though.

I know from our stay at YC we ordered from Amazon and did not pay a fee to have it dropped at bell services. Is this new??

Technically there is a $6 package fee for each package they accept at the front desk, delivered to your room or not. It is very hit or miss to be charged, more on the miss side and it's more items that are delivered by mail or UPS, etc. For groceries, per the Disney website, if they are delivered to Bell Services and you pick the order up, there is no charge. There will be a charge if delivered to your room once you are present, they won't deliver to an unoccupied room.

It was an acceptance fee for the charging cord I had delivered. I picked it up from the front desk after a day at the parks. The fee was added to our hotel bill. I believe that was in 2022.

I thought I did a multiquote response, but it didn't come through that way.

I did Walmart delivery for AoA in February. I downloaded the Walmart app and ordered my groceries through the app - I didn’t sign up for Walmart + but that was more expense than the one time delivery fee and I knew that I would never use Walmart+. I picked a delivery time within a couple of hours of my arrival time (flew in) and was sent an email stating that one of my items on the order wasn’t available and since I asked for no substitutions I was refunded that item. Delivery was made to bell services at AoA and I picked up the groceries both shelf stable and refrigerated once I located my room. I borrowed the luggage cart from bell services and took the items to my room myself - I did tip bell services when I returned the cart even though they didn’t technically deliver the groceries (they received them for me).

I placed the order with Walmart a couple of days in advance of leaving. They gave me a choice of dates and times to deliver. It was my firest time to do grocery delivery but it was very easy with Walmart.
