Grocery Delivery Advice!

Our flights were changed to arriving now at 5:30 pm. Assuming it will be around 7 when we arrive at AKL. Trying to figure out the best grocery option. Originally we were going to Uber to the Target that night to grab some snacks and such. Now with four littles (ages 1-7) that will be too late to be an option. Can you suggest a delivery /ordering option? Also will we be able to order after we land and still get it that evening? Looking for reasonable pricing and items in larger bulk type snack sizes. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

We've used Garden Grocer several times for delivery to BWV. Never had any issues. I would check out their website.

No, in most cases you'll want to order in advance (and may get some kind of discount if you're far enough out). I can't think of any delivery service where you could be confident that same-day delivery would be available.

Having used other services extensively, I have settled on InstaCart because of the variety of stores they offer, including Costco - so you can get bulk items. I have also found them to be a lot cheaper than Garden Grocer, but that is my experience and your mileage may vary, depending on the type of items you buy. Yes I did think that same evening delivery would be a tight squeeze. So am I able to prepare an order with instacart while still in Canada and have delivery arranged for the day we arrive? I wasn’t sure about what we were able to do while still in Canada.

Yes, you can. Just make sure you are using .com and not .ca.

walmart delivery is great, and instacart

We used vacation grocery delivery . You can find them in FB or google them. Small biz made up of furloughed cast members . No upcharges on items just a flat fee. We used them in dec and will use again in June . Excellent communication and we got everything we asked for and was delivered on time.

We ordered last minute a few days using Insta cart and paid a few dollars for same day delivery (10-11pm). We were onsite last week.
