Have used Garden Grocer in the past. I was looking for other options. Who uses what stores and delivery serices? TIA

We used GG too, and switched to Publix/Instacart. Much less expensive, prompt delivery, good quality and wide variety.

I’ve used Walmart+ & Amazon Prime several times.

At Riviera, there was a big kerfuffel about where to deliver my W+ order to bell services (RIV had changed where they accepted deliveries- and driver had a hard time following instructions- so that was probably a fluke), but no issues with Prime deliveries (even to RIV on that same trip!).

I ordered through Publix/Instacart one time & they were missing some key groceries (no charge, but no substitutes offered… or even a heads up). It was disappointing, but I would still be willing to try them again. I just love the Publix stores 😉

I have been using Instacart for a while now. I tried Walmart, but when an item was out-of-stock they did not notify me or provide a replacement.

We used Target via Shipt: 11 items delivered yesterday and the shopper was great. She told me how much she left at bell services and broke down the count based on refrigerated vs non so I had that data for bell services. We used to use garden grocer but their prices are really high. We started using Shipt early in the pandemic for home groceries and have a membership so the delivery fee is part of our annual membership.

Instacart(publix) for sure. We used GG over the summer only because we were having alcohol delivered and we didn't want to be in the room to get them. If not for that I would never pay the inflated prices and less selection.

I also have had great experiences with Instacart for Public and also Amazon Prime services (Prime Now?). We used Garden Grocer when we first started going to WDW and didn't know any other options but have noticed Instacart and Amazon we're cheaper for the same experience.

I have had good luck with Instacart in the past but they canceled a really big order for three couples last November the day we arrived and I had to reschedule and repurchase everything.
Then, I was reading on the dis or FB about cancellations.
I did like Instacart but thinking I am going to use the furloughed CMs that do the shopping on the FB group that they all have.
I'm going to look at reviews and see how prices (fees, etc.) compare.

Amazon Prime Now has been discontinued. The app now directs you to use Amazon.com/grocery or the Amazon Shopping app. They say they still offer the same 2-hour delivery, but I don't know what all has changed since I haven't placed an order using these options.

I find Amazon Prime Now to be excellent. You can order either from an Amazon food warehouse or from Whole Foods. I’ve used them every Disney Trip.
Never ever had food deliveries anywhere but it intrigues me….especially at Disney.
Will be back at BWV / BLT and CCV in Jan.
I have Amazon Prime and order from Amazon often BUT is it difficult to figure out how to order groceries from Amazon? (I’m old). Do I need an additional yearly subscription?

Thanks for answering dumb questions from a beginner.

I can only speak about the old Amazon service - Prime Now:
  • You don't need anything in addition to your existing Prime subscription.
  • I never found it too hard, but sometimes I had to try different words to find what I was looking for.
  • Prices were reasonable. No additional charge for delivery unless you wanted quicker service or your order total was less than $35.
  • Typically you could place an order today and select a 2-hour delivery window for tomorrow.
Not sure what may have changed since you now have to use Amazon Fresh - through the Amazon Shopping app or amazon.com/grocery.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain.

We use Dizzy Dolphin and love them and are using them yet again for our upcoming trip. We looked around after GG got to expensive and Dizzy Dolphin kept getting high marks. They also deliver alcohol with your grocery order. All you need to do is send them a copy of your ID which is pretty standard for all the delivery services. This will be our 4th time using them and see no need to switch again...ºoº

The one thing about GG is that they will deliver and leave alcohol.

Hi.

Do you mean leave alcohol with Bell Services if we arent there?

I use Instacart and they go to the liquor store but I have to be there to sign for it. Ill use Instacart next month if it means I dont have to wait around.

Thanks.

Yes they leave it with Bell Services. If you buy beer from them though they deliver it at room temp.

Referring to both GG and Dizzy Dolphin the answer is yes. We currently use Dizzy Dolphin and did use Garden Grocer but they both require a copy of your ID to validate your age. They leave it with Bell Services with your groceries..ºoº

Thank you so much! I looked at DD a couple of years ago but they wanted $10 for a case of water so I started using Instacart.
I think I will look back into GG. I use to use them a lot and not sure why I moved LOL

Thank you.

FYI--a case of store brand purified water with GG is 12.99.
