Did you have a lot of ice w/ the last storm?
It seems like we always get ice (freezing rain) & no snow...thankfully this past storm started as sleet & ended in snow.
I hope everyone is ok.
A week is a long time to be w/out power esp. w/ the cold temps.....
I imagine it was a nightmare.

Did you have problems w/ freezing pipes?

We're okay.

we stayed with my mom. She didn't have power, either, but she has a gas oven. We stayed toasty warm, but we were sooooooo bored.

Luckily, the pipes didn't freeze. We left all of the faucets dripping. It was about 34 degrees in the house. My cat was chilly, but fine.

I do, however for me it's either 6 more weeks of WINTER, ie snow and cold, or 6 more weeks till spring, ie getting warmer and no snow. I also now that I would see my shadow too with all those cameras and lights behind me too. All I know is that I am done with snow and temps below 2o every morning

Lissa I know where you're coming from. I have 4 feet of snow right now and it is awfully cold today. No snow today yet but more lake effect due to come later. Friday night it was falling at a rate of 4 inches per hour.....that is *not* an exaggeration. It is truly how it snows here. I can't stand it! 10 years till DH retires and we are sooooo out of here!!!

Jen, no worries! I have Lissa's envie ready to go already so I'm good on this end and actually trying to behave with my purchases. Need to slow down the stockpile a bit.

For those of you ini the path of this next ice storm, please be prepared as possible, stay warm and safe. I know for many of you these extremes are very foreign but ice is one of the worst things to deal with and you can't push it out of the way so just hunker down and play it safe.
