Grocery Coupon Train

I'm lucky, I've got a bunch of stores close by (within 5 miles).
I've got a Foodtown and a Stop & Shop within 1 mile, but those are the two I shop at the least... go figure!?!
Shoprite is my favorite followed by Pathmark (best prices).
We also have Aldi, another Foodtown and Shoprite that I don't shop at.
We've got a Walmart, Kmart & target in town too, but I don't grocery shop at them, none of them have the big grocery sections...probably cause we have so many grocery stores nearby!

I know most people hate it, but I LOVE grocery shopping! (how lame am I!?!) OK, I'm done geeking out about my grocery stores!!

It is so cool to hear where everyone shops!

I was able to get to the "big city" yesterday and stopped at Cub Foods. They had 2 seperate promos where if you bought certain items, you got a coupon for $ off your next shopping trip. I had coupons for alot of the items in the promo, so I went in and got the promo items to get $10 & $15 off coupons. Brought that to the car and then went back in for the rest of the items on my list and used the $ off coupons on that purchase.

I also got to stop at 2 CVS' At the first one I got all the items I wanted using a GC I had from a prescription and I got a coupon for $5 off the acne stuff my son uses. So I went to a different CVS and used that $5 off coupon with a raincheck from a previous promo for the acne stuff. AND they also had the loreal item that was free after ECB a few months ago that I had gotten a raincheck for and was able to get that free too!

I shop mainly at Target. I like it a lot better than our Walmart, and with Target's online coupons I can get some great deals. Today, 1 lb. bags of baby carrots were free (on sale for $1 each and an online coupon was for $1 off) so I stocked up. I also have a Safeway and a King Soopers (Krogers) very close by and I shop there for their loss leader items. I am trying to do better with buying on sale (stockpiling) so the extra coupons are coming in handy!

I see everyone is saying where the shop ! Well DD does most of the grocery shopping at SaveAlot, I give her c/os for things I know she buys there and she has been using them ! I usuallu get milk at WalMart as it is cheaper !! I buy dogfood and treats, toiletpaper and garbage bags at Walmart too also Laundry soap and Pop!!My Wally list used to be much longer before I shopped at CVS, RA & Walgreens , We have a Target, KMart close by and grocery stores are Tops and Wegmans !! I only shop there for sales . Recently I started comparing Target to WalMart and it wasn't bad !!

Locally we have Price Chopper, P&C, and a Big M (kind of what IGA used to be). We have several Rite Aids and an upstate drug chain called Kinney Drugs. When I travel fro business I get to do CVS (yuck!) and WAgs (yeah!). Our WalMart here is not a SuperWalMart so no food department. Our Target (30minutes away) is also not a super and has only a small food dept. There is also Wegamans near that Target. We also have Sams and BJs near that Target.

Its interesting to see the names of all these stores. It makes me feel like I am missing out on some great deals. Here in California, I do 80% of my shopping at Safeway and 20% at Target. This week Target has Prego Spaghetti Sauce for $1.67. I have manufacturer's coupons for $1 off 3 and Target coupons for $1 of 2. that is an average of 84 cents a jar.

I LOVE to grocery shop too.... you get to pick out what you're gonna eat all week!!!!
I shop at Market Basket (DeMoulas) or a local store called Lucci's for deli meats and ground turkey
Walmart is closer so I go there for hair products, but would prefer Target

I'm a Market Basket girl myself, but only because the prices are great. Given my choice, I'd be at Hannafords. Target and Walmart are both about 1/2 hour away, so I only head there every once in a while.

I have a strange stradegy. I go to Giant every week. I only buy the sale items that I have coupons. They are high priced on regular stuff, but their sales can't be beat! They also double coupons.

If I need it and it isn't on sale there, I go to Walmart.

I get my toiletries at CVS. I am totally into CVSing.
