Groceries in your suitcase?

On my last trip, while staying at the Poly I bought a case of water from Costco and packed it in a checked bag. (35 bottles for - what - $4?) We didn't rent a car (Magical Express), so there wasn't an otherwise easy way to get it.

It just came in under the TSA weight limit, and other than that it worked out great. We used the water while on our trip (vs. paying Disney costs), and at the end of the trip had an empty suitcase ready to go for souvenirs/making packing easier with a little extra space. Would definitely do that again. (Although my next trip will be part of DVC, so I'll have to come up with a new strategy to accomidate more food.)

We pack an entire suit case of food (mostly snack items) every time we go down. We then use the suitcase to bring back all the extras we seem to pick up along the way. Last month it was SEVEN miniture basketballs the boys won at the Board Walk (over the course of the trip)! They even had other adults asking if they would shoot for them to win them somthing. It became a nightly scene, my three kids wanting to hit the Borad Walk to win more basketballs.
