We will not have a car and will be using ME to get to and from SSR (we rented DVC points), I have read about online ordering from goodings that will deliver to you resort. For anyone who has done this, they ask for room number and such but I was under the impression that we don't get this until arrival, but you have to place your order 48 hours in advance.

Also, if anyone else has any other suggestions they would be appreciated! We are doing DDP but want to have bottled water and breakfast items in the room.

Thanks!!

We used GardenGrocer on our last trip and were very pleased with the service - and are using them again on our next trip.

They will ask your resort and ask for a 2 hour delivery window - room number is not necessary.

In our case, they delivered our items early and had the Bell staff store them in the resort fridge until we arrived. They called us when we arrived at the airport to let us know how to retrieve our groceries and the Bell staff just delivered them with the rest of our luggage when they took us to our villa. There is a minimum order of $40 and a $10 delivery charge for orders less than $200 (free for larger orders).

They will accept PayPal and will also accept direct credit card orders. We also got a printed receipt.

Enjoy!

Sounds great! Thanks for the info. Do you know if they have alcohol?

No, I don't think they do have alcohol , at least it's not listed on their website - but you can purchase some at your resort store (limited choices and convenience store pricing though).

Edited to add:

I called GardenGrocer this afternoon and, while it is not listed on their website, they will include alcoholic beverages in orders. Just let them know what items you want and they will purhcase and deliver it to you.

I had planned on using Gardengrocer for our last trip, but ended up packing what we needed. I was involved with a thread last fall about them supplying alcohol and some people responded that they DO have it, but don't show it online. Call them and ask them directly to include it. Unless their rules have changed, they will deliver it!

We used gardengrocer in October and they were great. They can get alcholic beverages but can't advertise them on their website. We had them deliver some beer and Smirnoff Ice. Just put it in the comments section and they will call you with the new updated amount. We will be going again in February and plan on using them again.

We just used gardengrocer last week. They were great. Everything was delivered to bell services and stored in the fridge. It was exactly as I ordered and came with a printed receipt. By the way, the bananas were picture perfect. Will absolutely use them next trip.

I have not used the services, but have read several times on this board that Goodings is WAY overpriced. Someone mentioned $12 for a case of water. :sad2:

But it was very good water :dance3:

We have used Wegoshop.com in the past and have had great luck..

If you are planning on taking your cell phone with you, just give Marge your cell # or call her after you get your room #... She will then delivery the groceries to the room...

Wegoshop is very flexible and will shop for beer, wine, etc...

We used GG in October, and they were great! I wanted to pay cash for our order, so they called and gave us a time window of when to expect us and came right to our room with the order. They went through the entire order and had everything we order and then some. The extra items they gave us free of charge!! They had 2 extra containers of mustard and we only ordered one. We left it in the room for the next people. We never opened the extra ones. The food was excellent and all the frozen foods were frozen solid. We would definetely use them again.

We used Gardengrocer.com for our last visit in December and they were outstanding!! This is the second time we used them and have had no problems at all. Have talked to Bryan at gardengrocer.com whenever I had questions and he's great! You choose your date and preferred delivery time. Our time was 3PM-5PM and they called at 3PM, however, we were still on the ME bus so he called back in 30 minutes and we had our room number - he brought it right over. :cool1:

We're in the process of using Marge from Wegoshop for an upcoming trip. She has been very prompt in answering our questions. The thing I like about Wego is that they'll shop anywhere you choose for anything that store sells without a mark-up on the food items; they chanrge a flat shop and delivery fee based on dollar amount spent. Since Florida grocery stores don't sell liquor, she'll go to a liquor store for an extra $5.00
