I have a canister of grits here. Any ideas/recipes on what to do with them? i wanted to try something other than regular grits.

thanks!

My family always made cheesy grits, which is a good side dish for just about anything...from breakfast to fish sticks. :)

Just cook the grits like directed on the package, once they are all cooked and while they are still piping hot, put some cheezewhiz in and mix. I usually use the instant grits and use about one heaping tablespoon for each serving. :)

Mmm...mmm...good.

This is a family tradition recipe! Even our family that lives up north like it, and they don't think they like grits!

Garlic Cheese Grits

1 Cup Quick-cooking Grits, Uncooked
1 Roll Garlic Cheese
1 Stick Butter
2 Eggs, beaten
3/4 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Chopped Green Onions

Cook grits according to package directions. Add cheese and butter. Cool. Combine eggs and milk and pour into grits.

Bake at 375 degrees, uncovered, for 1 hour.

Serves 4 to 6.
