Why do people look at me because I'm grilling in seemingly sub-zero temps? I was afraid someone would try to host an intervention on me around here because I was in the mood for some grilled burgers today.

Atleast when it's cold and I'm grilling, it reduces the chances of having burnt meat.:teeth:

No judging here. We grill year-round. Had steaks the other night.

We grill here too......You can always put it on and go back inside for a while.

Here too, it's 2º.

Shannon, we had a friend in Georgia that would grill out just about every day. Snow or not, he didn't care. He's be out in his coat and boots grilling steaks. :teeth:

I try not to grill after 11 pm, Jason.;) I'm askeered of what might come sampling what I'm grilling this late. It can't be that cold in Akron.:p

Heather, thanks for making me feel somewhat normal. Maybe I live in the wrong part of Georgia?:teeth:

Beth, that's what I do. I cook my meats outside, then run inside and cook my veggies on/in the stove.:)

Laurie, it rarely snows in Georgia, but it gets mighty cold sometimes (especially this past week, we had snow this week too:eek: ). I think I prefer grilling in the winter time. I don't get burnt as easily.:o

My neighbor is another Laurie! He grills almost every night. They're big red meat eaters! :p I saw him a couple of nights ago, when I took my dog out, dancing around out there in the freezing cold, hat, coat, boats and oven mitts on for gloves. :p LOL!

I'm tougher than your neighbor, Maggie (or it's warmer here in GA, than in PA;) ). I had on my capri pants, golf socks, tennis shoes, tshirt and my SO's button down shirt.;) No mittens, no hat, no jacket. Maybe that's why I was getting the funny looks?:p

We had T-bones on the grill last night...... no idea how cold it was out..... but it was snowing. Steak tastes better grilled (as do burgers!:D ) why not grill?

I am a sick puppy.

But why? Whats the big deal?

Shanon - they are the weird ones! NOT us!;)

I'm up in Minnesota, where it's -1 right now, and we grill year round as well. We just cooked burgers the other day. We put the grill right outside the garage door, then we either stand right next to it or run back in the house.

We are another family that grills all year long. The cold doesn't bother us at all - and as someone said earlier, it makes it a just a bit harder to burn things. The only thing that keeps our grill from being started up is rain - I just can't see checking on things with rain pouring down.

;) I'm glad there's atleast 1 case that I can be normal.;)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for Lorelei (Mermaid02) to grill up some tbones and share them.:teeth:

I cooked steaktips the other day when it was -20 with the wind chill. If you stand real close and close your eyes it feels like summer:p :p
