Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

In the thread about the Sci Fi Drive In, travlnman1 mentioned that he was able to order a triple decker grilled cheese sandwich at the Sci Fi Drive In even though it was not on the menu. How often are items available even if they are not on the menu? I am especially wondering about grilled cheese. My daughter is a notoriously picky eater and she will often not like a item, such as macaroni and cheese, at one place even though she might like the same thing someplace else. The major exception to this is the grilled cheese sandwich. So, any information about restraunts that serve grilled cheese would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I am very new to the Dis Discussion Forum and I had noticed that people will frequently right DD for daughter or DS for son. I am curious, what does the that first D stand for. Dear, Darling, maybe Dastardly?

Thanks,

Bill

Yes!!

Here, I think it stands for Disney. Alos, try the Allears website. I can't remember if it's .com, or .net. Anyway they have restaurant menus there. I can't help you with a picky eater, I have 3 kids-no picky eaters.

Ooh I love grilled cheese I hope someone has a answer... In my experience TS restaurants will try to accomidate you so I bet if your DD wants a grilled cheese I think she may be able to get one..

I remember ordering my Godchild a grilled cheese (believe it was on the kids menu) at the Plaza Restaurant in MK - it was no problem.

I know for a fact that Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary serves grilled cheese. In fact it's grilled cheese on rainbow bread. Very nice presentation.

I think Disney really tries to accomodate their guests. If you don't see it on the menu, you can always ask the server if the chef can make one. If they can, great... if they can't, at least you already have an alternative based on reading the menus.

Earl Of Sandwich in DTD has grilled cheese sandwiches. I ordered one for each of my boys & they both only ate half. They are big sandwiches, next time I will order one for them to share :)

Last year at Ohana's DD4 wasn't crazy about the choices and they got her a grilled cheese from Kona Cafe. They were very accomodating and told her she could have whatever she wanted.

My son pretty much lived on grilled cheese when we were there last summer. As I recall most TS restaurants have them on the kids menu and if not, I'd ask if one could be made; if they have the ingredients you'll probably be accomodated.

I love Grilled cheese(cheap date) I get it every time we go to Sci-fi. It's not on the menu. Just tell the server you would like to order an adult Grilled cheese. Ive ordered it 6-7 times (comes with fries)
