Any other suggestions for other than american cheese?

I want to try a sandwich with two cheeses.

Thanks.

I had Provolone on wheat today. Yummy.

I've also had Ham and Swiss melted(mmmm) with a little mustard.

A little Italian- Mozzerella, tomato and basil on foccacia with balsamic

Bacon and american cheese

I do love grilled cheese!

Are you looking to replace the american cheese, or add to it.

My favorite, is American cheese, and a garden fresh tomato!!

I much prefer either a colby, a cheddar or co-jack on a grilled cheese sandwich!

Land o' Lakes makes a shingle pack of Sharp American, it really makes a good grilled cheese, just a little bite to it, plus it's not quite so runny.

Pepperjack here too.....well Crimson Fire which is made at Washington State University.....gets really hot ;)

Grilled swiss on rye!

::yes:: Grilled swiss with tomato on rye!

Also, I love Monterey Jack cheese. I never eat American cheese anymore. :p

Another one is mozzerella and tomato.

I've also done open-faced cheese on a grilled pita. It's kind of a pita pizza without the tomato sauce.

Gouda!

I never would have tried it, but my fiance is a big fan of mixing together anything we happen to have lying around - even if it sounds nasty. In this case, grilled gouda sandwiches turned out to be a success. Macaroni and cheese w/tuna, however, not such a success.. :rolleyes1

use some oregano, Italian seasoning or garlic on the outside of the sandwich, with the butter....makes it super special. :cutie:

Mmmm...my favorite is provolone with tuna. Mix some tuna with mayo, add some dill and fry! So good!

Swiss cheese, turkey and avocado on grilled flatbread. yummy

Wheat bread.
American cheese. Land of Lakes sliced by the deli. Not that fake individual wrapped Kraft stuff.
Turkey bacon.
Tomato slice.
Outside of bread is spread with mayo instead of butter.

I've always had American cheese on mine, but a few days ago I had one with Swiss and Cheddar that was pretty good.
