Grilled Cheese at the Sci Fi??

Yes, another grilled cheese thread LOL. I thought someone had posted that they got grilled cheese at the Sci Fi?? Can anyone confirm this? It's not on the kid menus on Deb's site, but it's my daughters favorite food, one I can usually guarantee she'll eat (she's very picky) as long as it's american cheese LOL, not cheddar.

Disney TS restaurants are fully equipped to handle any special requests that do not require additional ingredients or complex time consuming techniques. When traveling with my uncle (who had 6 bypasses on his heart) we often ask for shrimp, lobster, fish, chicken, etc. broiled without butter and often sub baked potatoes or vegetables for fries, mashed potatoes, risotto, etc.

Grilled cheese requires bread, butter and cheese, all of which they definitely have back there. I am almost 100 % certain that asking would yield a positive result. As for what type of cheese- read the menu- whatever cheeses are available for burgers are likely the types they have in the kitchen. I'm guessing American's in there somewhere.

It never hurts to ask! Call ahead (give 24 hrs notice) if this is important to you.

I'm a grilled cheese lover (cheap date) It's not on the menu, I asked for it the last two times we went there. It comes with fries, its on big,thick crusty bread.

same with chicken strips. Not on the menu but the waiter asked my DS if that's what he wanted (must have been a mind reader)!

My DS7 is picky too! We asked for a grilled cheese and was told that it might take a few minutes but they could get one made...they did and it looked great. My son said that it was the best one ever. It's nice to know that accomodations can be made without a big deal. Just ask and enjoy!
