Grey's anatomy.. Anyone else scheved watching last night?

I saw a show about a man that had that actual condition, I think on TLC. They call him the tree man or something like that. It was very sad. They took some off, but they were growing back within a few months.

I saw that episode too, it was Tree Man.

I didn't have a problem watching either Grays or Tree Man.

Then go live somewhere else, Why are you turning this into a health care debate.

What debate? It's a simple fact that not everyone in the US has health insurance or funds to pay for healthcare. That's how things are left untreated.

This is so true. And people can often be so un-empathetic about someone else's problems. When I hear people griping about things like people coming into "our" country illegally, I wonder if they have considered how lucky they are to have been born here? But for the grace of God, I could have been born in Mexico and be trying to get my family to the US for a chance at a better life.

Same thing with a person who is too poor to afford good medical care. Something like these warts are not life threatening. If a patient came into the ER with or without insurance, they would be referred to a specialist, who would advise the patient about treatment. Without insurance, you are not getting into the specialist's office. Even if the illness is life threatening, there can be problems. In the case of a transplant, there are lots of people who fall through the cracks. If they make too much money for medicare, for instance, they may be out of luck.

I've never been a fan of the "if you don't like it, then leave" argument. :)

I'm a fan of the "if you don't like it, then change it" argument. :thumbsup2

And it isn't a debate, it's a fact of life in this country that not everyone either has insurance OR the money to pay for even the most basic medical care.

There is no debate in the truth.

Bethenny beat me to it.

Well, I haven't watched this week's episode yet, but after this thread, I'm deleting it without seeing it.
I can't deal with stuff like that!

The fact is, this thread was about a show on TV, nothing to do with US health care. That is the fact. No one asked about health care in the U.S. some people just want to bring up their agenda whenever something medical is discussed, weather on a fake tv show or not.

I've done a number of searches...Google and dictionaries, and can't find a definition of the word "scheved". Anyone care to enlighten me?

I think it was a creative spelling of skeeved, meaning grossed out, etc...

Not even sure if THAT word is in the dictionary since it's kind of a slang term.

I missed that show and was going to watch it online. Now I don't know...

There was a lady who worked checkout at a grocery store who had these hanging worts on her face all over. It was sad that she had to look like that, but she was an awesome cashier.

 Agenda? What in the world are you talking about? And healthcare in this country was not brought up by me in this thread. I was replying to a post made be a previous poster.

Since you seem to have a problem with me, I suggest putting me on ignore. :flower3:

So I take it the show was about a man with warts? Where does the spider come into play?? Not going to watch it but I am curious now. :scared:

These were a kind of warts that had encased the mans arms and legs into a kind of hard material. When Miranda was cutting one of the pieces off, a spider came out.:scared1: Luckily, I was not looking at the tv at the time. I am really scared of spiders. I have learned not to watch Grey's too closely. For the finale last season, I was tramautized when the first person was shot in the head. I just didn't expect it to be that graphic.
