Greetings From The Poly!!

I'm so glad I listened to all of you!! The POLY is beautiful! We will be here until Monday...I wish it was even longer. I love the tropical feel, the hawaiian music, the friendly CM's, the big rooms, the monorail access, Kona Cafe (we love it), our beautiful view from our FIGI garden view room, watching Wishes fireworks from the beach (awesome), etc., etc.

If you have any questions, just ask. It's been really hot (no rain), but the nights are wonderful.

We just returned on Saturday night from a fabulous stay at Polynesian! BTW, shouldn't it be ALOHA! from the Polynesian?

We also had terrific weather with little rain--a big change from our past 3 visits where it rained nearly nonstop! The heat was a welcome thing for us--we LOVE it and enjoy melting each and every day! We are so wishing we were still there, but that little thing called "work" interferes with our fun.

Oh, I am SO jealous!

We have stayed in Fiji for our last couple of trips and we love it ..... great view and so close to the GCH!

Our stay was excellent! We had a marvelous time, nearly perfect weather, visited with our mutual Polynesian pals, and really thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Here's a link to the e-mail I sent today and that I posted on the Lounge Lizard thread. I haven't had time to do a full report, but hope to get to it.

There were a few things that appeared in need of attention, e.g., tiki torches that were yellow tagged as damaged, speakers not working around the quiet pool, third floor concierge door was not secure, the parks seemed much less tidy than normal, a CM in concierge that was more interested in playing on his palm pilot than helping guests, etc. There was nothing, however, that remotely caused us an issue or diminished our experience. It was truly fabulous!

I wish I was there! We're staying at the Poly for the first time in October and I can't wait! My countdown clock can't move fast enough

I'm just wondering what the bus service is like ... we'll probably be using it to get to AK and DTD ...

Hi Tess,

In early April the third floor concierge door was able to be opened without a room key. This was true all throughout the night as well(I couldn't sleep 1 night). I reported it several times to concierge and I just can't believe it still isn't fixed. We were 2 doors from the exit so I found it a little frightening. Threehearts

Hi Hannahryan! I have an idea -- on your last day put 3 towels on chairs by the pool so that we'll have some saved for August 5! (Unless Tess already did it for us!)Put a little sign on it them says "SAVED FOR AUNTPOLLY"

In case there is <i>any</i> doubt -- I am kidding!

I'm so glad you're having fun. It made me happy to think about someone at the Poly loving it so much!

We haven't encountered any bugs believe it or not. I'm really surprised by this. We are on the 3rd floor with a view of the beach and the Grand Floridian...it is glorious! I was initially disappointed when we couldn't get the Samoa building, but I actually like this building better.
I'm a little disappointed by the tiny tv in the room. We like to unwind at night with the tv and I just can't see it that well. Does
anyone know why they haven't upgraded the tv's?

How nice of you to post during your stay. Glad you are having fun. We were in Raratonga two weeks ago and it was HEAVEN! I am now even more Poly- obsessed than I was before... Gotta go back! We have a DVC trip planned for March and I hope to add on a few nights at the Poly during that visit. It truly is beautiful and the location can't be beat. We loved the location and convenience of Raratonga. Had lots of great meals, both at Kona and Ohana.
My hubby was disappointed the rooms weren't yet wired for Hi-Speed internet. Someday soon, I guess. I would have posted if this WAS available...

I am soooooo very jealous! Sounds like you are having an awesome time. We love the Poly . . .its the kids favorite resort!

I don't know if you like coffee or not . . .but OMG the coffee at Kona is to die for!

Have you seen the nightly torch lighting ceremony yet? It is really nice.
