I prefer the pineapple/vanilla swirl, because straight on pineapple is a bit much for me. (And I like fresh pineapple, go figure.) I had the biggest giggle at the Mickey apple saying "eat me". :lmao:

As for the burgers, I'm really surprised you haven't gotten the disintegrating burger bun. That's pretty standard everywhere now. I might get a veggie burger just to avoid the bad bun. But knowing my bad luck and timing, they'll have changed the buns to the disintegrating kind before my next trip.

Your veggie burger looks so good! Was there an option of getting cheese on it as well?

:thumbsup2 Great reviews! I love Boma. Glad you had a good meal there. Those soups looked fab!

Personally, I like the sound of the CMs handling the traffic control and the "saving" of tables. I have said it often (more often when stressing about poolside seating on cruises or at Stormalong Bay!)...if people just sat while they NEEDED the seats and let others do the same, there would always be plenty for everyone!;)

Great update Linda - can you believe I've never had a Mickey bar :sad2:

I haven't ordered it at Pecos Bill's, but you can definitely get the veggie burger with cheese at Restaurantosaurus, Liberty Inn, and the POFQ food court. So I would think you can get it anywhere.

I really love WDW's veggie burgers.

Following a great day in the Magic Kingdom we headed back to our hotel to shower and change and then headed down to the pool for a couple of drinks whilst we decided where to eat that evening. I had a couple of bud lights sitting by the pool and DH hit the Coke

We both just felt like staying local and getting something light so we headed into Celebration as it was just across the road :drive:

We’d never been into Celebration before but we both really liked the feel of the place :) We strolled around checking out the various shops and restaurants (there are lots to choose from) but we really only felt like a sandwich so we headed into the Market Street Café.

First impressions were really good, all the staff were super friendly and there was a great buzz about the place.

We were seated at a nice booth by the window and we ordered our drinks. DH had an orange juice and I had a glass of wine. I can’t remember what I had, I think it was a Californian Chardonnay and I remember it as being just ‘OK’

So here is what DH went for

Turkey Club Sandwich With Homemade Coleslaw

And here is my choice

IMG_0129-1.jpg

Pita bread stuffed with our famous tuna salad and homemade coleslaw

Both looked great when they arrived but I’m sorry to report that neither dish was very tasty :sad2: Firstly both sandwiches were ICE cold. Now we obviously didn’t expect either sandwich to be warm but they both tasted as if they had been taken straight out of a fridge. The pita bread in particular was extremely cold as was the tuna inside. DH’s sandwich was lighly toasted so it seemed strange that it was soooo cold :confused3 I’m saving the worst till last though ……. ‘homemade coleslaw’ I don’t know who’s home it was made in but it just tasted ‘chemically’ yuk

Not to worry though, we still had a nice time talking about our day and our plans for tomorrow but we wouldn’t be heading back to the Market Street Café any time soon

We jumped in the car and headed back to the hotel as we had a little treat waiting for us ……………………….

Vanilla Cupcake for DH

IMG_0132-1.jpg

Red Velvet Cupcake for me

We picked up these little lovelies at Main Street Confectionery as we left the Magic Kingdom and they were just heavenly :cloud9: The red velvet cupcake was amazing :worship: the frosting was cream cheese and the cake was wonderfully light and fresh. DH’s vanilla cupcake disappeared in record time and he proclaimed it to be ‘delicious’ What a great way to end our day :yay:

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: out of popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: for the cupcakes :cheer2:

Coming Up Next ……….. ready for your closeup? We’re off the Hollywood Studios ... featuring Mama Melrose

Great updates Linda. Can't say that Boma appeals to me as a super-fussy eater but it does look quite good.

:goodvibes - Thanks ...There is such a huge variety at Boma I am sure you would find something you would enjoy

Hey, caught up again! :goodvibes

Thank you so much for the Boma review, we are NOT big buffet eaters and have Boma booked for dinner for the first time this summer (had breakfast numerous times and LOVED it! ;))
I am so glad to see so many things that look real yum yum!

And I could use one of those Mickey Bars right now! Long day at school ........

Can't wait for MORE!!!!!!!! popcorn::

I dream of Mickey Bars :cloud9:- hope you have a better day today :)

Your veggie burger looks so good! Was there an option of getting cheese on it as well?

It wasn't listed on the menu but I am sure they would do if you asked

Thanks :) I agree with you about the tables

Great update Linda - can you believe I've never had a Mickey bar :sad2:

 you have to have one on you next trip - that's an order ;)

Fantastic reviews, Boma is our favourite dinner buffet, we've just booked to go to AKL in October 2011 based on the zebra domes and hummus (not together I hasten to add!!!!)

Never noticed the cupcakes at MK - obviously too busy grabbing the rice krispie treats. :goodvibes

Love the drink photos too. Lapu Lapu nearly killed me - boy was it strong. Favourite was either the strawberry basil lemonade at boma or the Pomegranate Kir at F&W festival last year.:cloud9:

What a shame about the sandwiches, they look so nice! I had a red velvet cupcake for the first time in New York when I was there last week. It was VERY good! I look forward to sampling the WDW version in August. :)

Hi everyone

:wave2: Hello lovely DIS people. Hope you are all having a great day

So today we are heading over to Hollywood Studios

IMG_0602-1-1.jpg

As always we were standing at the turnstiles well before the official opening time and as soon as the park opened joined the inevitable rush to Toy Story Mania.

These guys were there to meet us

IMG_0138copy-1.jpg

‘Good Morning’

They had a very important mission – stop people killing each other at the Fast Pass machines

I grabbed two Fast Passes and headed into the ride with DH, we walked straight on and absolutely loved it :thumbsup2 . It hadn’t yet opened when we last visited in 2007 so this was our first experience and it totally lived up to the hype !! I was really pleased that we had Fast Passes for a second ride. When we returned later in the day, not surprisingly all the Fast Passes had gone and the wait time was posted at 140 mins :scared1:

We then hit all the usual suspects and grabbed Fast Passes for second rides on Tower Of Terror (my all time favourite) and Rock n Roller Coaster

Soon we were beginning to feel hungry so we headed here for a quick snack

IMG_0144-1.jpg

I love this place and we visited quite a few times on our last trip. Although the cupcakes looked fantastic we both decided to go for something a little simpler (but just as fantastic)

IMG_0142-1.jpg

Blueberry Muffins and a Latte for me

The Muffins were wonderful, very light and fresh and the caffine hit was just what we needed after ‘manic’ balloon shooting , plummeting to our doom in an out of order elevator and breaking the official speed limit in a stretch limo !!

It was a beautiful sunny day and we really enjoyed our time in the park and managed to see everything with little or no wait (really enjoyed American Idol by the way)

Just before lunch a very nice couple took a picture of us

IMG_0201-1.jpg

DH was getting hungry but I didn’t really feel like anything so we headed over to the ABC Commissary where DH picked up one of these

IMG_0147-1.jpg

Cheeseburger With Fries

Again, he seemed to enjoy it. He didn’t pass much comment but it was soon all gone.

I didn’t feel like eating so I just grabbed a cold beer

IMG_0148-1.jpg

Mmm – hit the spot nicely on a hot day

We continued our tour of the park and soon my stomach began to say ‘feed me’ the good news was that we had a ‘Fanstasmic’ ADR coming up

Next Up …………….. Mama Mia – Mama Melrose’s here we come
