I would truly appreciate some help gathering real world feedback about possibly relocating to Greenville...DH travels extensively in the VA/NC/SC area for work and it is getting hard on our family. We've looked at relocating to Cary, NC which we loved, but decided against it because of the housing prices and school situation. Now we are re-thinking and have come across Greenville. How are the schools and housing? Our kids are in a private Catholic school right now, but we would seriously consider public since tuition rates in NC are so much higher than they are here in Ohio.

Any info. and feedback would be so great! Thanks so much! :)

My wife and I LOVE Greenville.

We both went to school in the area, then I was a police officer in Greenwood (45 minutes South) until I went Federal. Greenville was the closest "bigger city" to us.

If I could get back there, I'd be there in a minute. As a matter of fact, we've bought property up there to retire to!!!

Weather is beautiful, it's got some "big city traffic issues", but as a general rule the suburbs are quit nice.

I'm a little biased, but I really love it up there.

We used to live in Greenville and loved it.

At the time, it had a very low unemployment rate, but it is because there are so many plants/factories in the Upstate (what they call that part of SC).

I live in Atlanta now and I tell dh I would move back to Gville in a heartbeat.
