No, I really hate this dish.
My Dad used to request this for Thanksgiving so we would make it for him, even though nobody else liked it. One year I tried making a "gourmet version" with fresh mushrooms, a bechamel sauce, fresh green beans, etc. and I still hated it! The next year I made him the standard GBC but I also made fresh sauteed green beans with buttered almonds, and he decided he liked that dish way better. So, after that Thanksgiving, it was farewell to the dreaded GBC!!
