Airmiles Armchair Chatter

When shopping on Well.ca through Airmileshops can I pick the order up in store or do I have to have it delivered for it to count?
that's a good question, but I'm fairly confident that it would count negate
because it's not shown as an exception like best buy is.

HOWEVER, why are you wanting to have it delivered to a store (Rexall)? If you don't make the threshold the shipping charge is the same for that option as getting it shipped to your home. They don't let you pick up things in the store like Michael's and Staples and have it ready in hours, it actually gets shipped from the warehouse to the store.
Here's an example of the shipping rate for a $15 order

Just wondering your experience booking a cruise with airmiles through the redtag site.

My only gripe with using a third party is that if I need to make any changes or have any issues on the cruise, wouldn't I need to contact air miles to act on my behalf?

Can I move my booking from air miles to a cruise line rep once it is paid in full?

I did a mock booking yesterday and it seems pretty straight forward. You can only use up to $1000 worth of miles per booking though, which is odd.

Back to School completed. I did Staples (printer paper, plastic boxes for travelling and Swiffer dusters), Petsmart (poop bags for the dog), Well.ca (hair conditioner, nail file, foot file). I have to pick up the Petsmart order but the other two are being delivered so I don't even have to leave the sofa. I'm getting used to this online shopping.

LOL…In one of my mothers rants about what a bad person I am she mentioned that I never invite her to go shopping. She didn’t believe me when I said I only online shop. Later she questioned my oldest about my shopping habits and it was confirmed that I very rarely go to the mall.

So I have started my Christmas pre planning.
I am going to be making Grinchmas Christmas Special Delivery Boxes for my family.
I remember Tinkerone mentioning shoe boxes last year.
So I ordered 5 green Photo/shoe boxes from Michaels this morning and just picked them up.
As my guys have gotten older I include a lot of small gift cards and treats so this will be perfect. (Maybe with a Who Hash Cash Tin.)
I am pretty sure I can design a template for the boxes but saw some cute ones on Etsy.

Okay, really off topic for this one. Does anyone here use compression socks? I ask because we will be flying in December and with my latest knee surgery, it has been swollen. It's pretty normal, according to the surgeon, but I thought I should prepare to have some to use. Trouble is there are so many brands, so many types, I just don't know what I'm looking for.
So, anyone have suggestions?

Yes, I purchase mine from Michaels as well. Keep them in a closet and put little things in them throughout the year. So easy and they have so many different colors and designs. I love your idea, what a brilliant way to decorate them. I may have to 'borrow' this at some point. :santa:

My mom uses viasox, she has really swollen feet/ankles/legs and is diabetic so can't wear certain things on her feet. She likes them, but won't wear them (or any socks) in summer because her feet get too hot.

Hey Tinkerone
I hope your recovery is flying by. Hugs To You!
I just had a shot in the left knee for a Bakers Cyst,,, and in 3 weeks I'll get another one in the right knee for another Baker's Cyst.
I use these.....
Sometimes I will fold the top down just below the knee cap.
If you buy some take them with you to Physio to help you try them on.
Good thoughts Hon!

I have copper fit knee sleeves that I wear if I'm doing a lot of stairs. I also like the copper fit compression socks. The two together might be a good option for the flight.

I do like the ones Mel mentioned as they come in white. I would like white to wear in the summer.

edit to add. I just bought the beige one's Mel mentioned. I needed a little something extra with the pumpkin powder I got for the dog to get me free shipping.

If you are still doing PT, that would be the best person to speak to about this. Compression garments are not all created equal. There are stores that deal in this specialty.

The swelling in your knee at this point, while somewhat normal is likely due to not enough icing immediately after surgery. Home ice packs just don’t get cold enough to penetrate the tissue to the level required. The only thing that does that are ice compression machines.

That was fast! I placed the orders for Back to School yesterday. All three posted to my account this afternoon and the bonus has posted as well. I'm still waiting for two of the orders to be shipped and received.

I had enough for another $50 Disney GC so that's what I did. This is so much easier than the game I used to play with purchasing Disney GC at Dollarama.
