Greatest Surprise Trip Ever.....Thanks Honey (April 26-30, 2010)

I forgot one thing from our day at HS. The last attraction we did was Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. We had never done this before. Of course, Madi was scared, like always. So the whole time, she had her dead buried in my side. We thought this was pretty cool.

Day 3-Magic Kingdom

So, after having a late evening, we decide that we will sleep in today. We didn't have any ADR's today. We slept til 9am. We try to plan a breakfast in MK at the Main Street Bakery every trip. We have to have a cinnamon roll here. We order 3 and share between the four of us and it is still to much. We have to force ourselves to finish them.

We decide to just take our time and make our way around the park. We head to Adventureland.

Jaden wants to walk through the Swiss Family Treehouse. We have done this before, and it is boring. But, she wanted to, so we walked through.

Then they discovered the spitting camel near the Magic Carpets and had a few minutes of fun there.

We rode the Magic Carpets of Aladdin with Madi. Shannon even rode. He usually waits for us to ride with my step-dad on our previous trips. But it was just us this time, and Madi was excited that he was riding.

When we exited the Magic Carpets, we noticed the Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management. We never did this attraction before, and we probably won't see it again. This was the most corny attraction. We thought it was a waste of time. The only good thing to come is this cute picture I got of my girls in front of this waterfall while waiting for the doors to open:

Next, we head to The Jungle Cruise. We forgot how corny this ride was, but the girls enjoyed it. Then we ride Pirates of the Caribbean. Madi is always scared on this ride. She doesn't like the dark. Then Jaden gets to ride her favorite ride, Splash Mountain. Madi doesn't want to ride so we wait for Jaden and Shannon to ride. I think the wait time was about 30 minutes. We kinda look around the shops in Frontierland, but don't find anything. We wait on the bridge to see if we will see them come down, but it is hot so we head to the shop right at Splash Mountain. This is where Madi finds her Daisy. She always gets a stuffed animal each trip and this trip she fell in love with Daisy. We head back to the bridge to see if we will see Shannon and Jaden after they take the big plunge. What do you know, we see them:

The plan was for Jaden and I to ride when they were finished, but I was getting hungry. We decided to eat at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Shannon and I had a cheeseburger, Jaden wanted chili cheese fries and Madi had a hamburger. The food here is good. I like the fixin's Bar.

We head back to Splach Mountain and get fastpasses and then get in line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Madi really doesn't want to ride, but I talk her into it. They had a couple right behind us and the lady was a little scared and she was saying how brave Madi was and that if Madi can ride, then she could also. Well, Madi was scared to death and cried the whole time. I felt a little bad.

We decide to head to Fantasyland, on our way there, they are roping off for the parade. We grab a spot in Liberty Square and watch. Leading the parade are some of the volunteers that earned a free ticket through the Give a Day Get a Disney Day. I thought that was a great way to honor them.

Yay! I am all caught up! We luckily left the parks BEFORE it stormed! I always heard the HDDR was good! We might have to check that out next time we go! And I totally agree, Pecos Bill was very good! I can't wait to read more!

Madi loves cinnamon rolls and they are GREAT! If you have a chance, try one. They are huge and warm when you order.

SM is Jaden's favorite ride. I got her really smiling on this one. She is the one in the black shirt and Shannon has a white shirt.

Oh my gosh this is too funny! We were at MK that morning too! And were on a very similar touring plan... I bet we walked by each other a few times that day!

A little off topic: My girls had their hair cut last Wednesday. Jaden wanted to have her haircut to her shoulders. I said it was ok as long as I can still pull it up for dancing. We have national dance competition in a couple of weeks. She had about 3 inches cut:

Madi was only supposed to get a couple of inches cut because her ends were getting bad. Shannon makes a comment that he thinks she would be cute with a shoulder length bob style. I said are you serious, cut her hair. He said, yea she would be cute. so I asked her and she said she wanted it like mine. So here it is:

I like it. she no longer looks like a baby, she looks like a big girl now. That makes me sad.
