Greatest Surprise Trip Ever.....Thanks Honey (April 26-30, 2010)

The made me weepy...when you said about her not looking like a baby anymore....my baby graduated yesterday and I know how fast the time passes....beautiful pictures, your girls are so cute:cutie:

The only upside, she still lets me love on her and rock her...sometimes!! They do grow to fast.

Sorry I've been missing in action, we went camping for the weekend. I will post a quick update. I need to get more pictures uploaded.

When I left off, we had watched the parade in Liberty Square right in front of the Hall of Presidents. After the parade, we went in to the Hall of Presidents, which we never saw. My perception of this attraction was that it was going to be a good place to take a power nap. I was totally wrong. This was very informative and the animatronics are unbelievable.

Now we finally head to Fantasyland. First stop, It's a Small World. We seem to ride this each trip, and Madi loves it. Then it's one of my favorites, Mickey's Philharmagic. I had never seen a 3-D movie before I visited WDW in 2007 and I didn't know what I was missing. Now Disney probably goes above and beyond a regular 3-D movie. Madi is still scared for these shows. We skip everything else in Fantasyland because there were about 20 to 30 minute waits. We decide to visit Toontown, being this may be the last chance we have before the expansion. As we pass the teacups, there is no wait so Madi, Jaden and I jump on. Our whole trip, the teacups never had a wait, so Madi rode a lot of times.

Then we tour Minnie and Mickey's houses. A few from Minnie's house:

Hurray - you're back!! Cute pics of the girls in Minnie's house  I was looking forward to taking my grandson this year to see Toontown but first it will be closed and secondly my daughter decided not to go on this trip. I'm not sure we will be spending to much time at MK since it will now be just me, my sons (ages 17, 23 & 27). Hopefully next year when Toontown is refurbished I can take my GS!

Love the girls hair cuts!!
How did your girls like the hall of presidents?? I have a 6 and 4 yr old and was wondering if they would be bored??
The cinamon rolls look delicious!!!

I will be disappointed that toontown will be gone. That is one of my kids favorite places just to hang out a bit. Will Minnie and MIckey's house still be there?

Thanks! Their haircuts are so much easier. Jaden is 9 and she was interested. Madi was 4 and she took a nap.

Cinnamon rolls are Madi's favorite.

We check on the line in the Judge's Tent to visit with Mickey. The line was long and we would be having breakfast with Mickey later in our trip. We didn't feel like waiting.

We check to see how long the wait is to visit Tinkerbell and her Fairy Friends in the Toontown Hall of Fame Tent, but the wait is 75 minutes. Not waiting that long. Jaden wants to ride The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm, and Madi insistantly refuses, so Jaden and I decide to ride. Madi says right as Jaden and I are walking to Goofy's that she has to potty. So, I of course want to switch and Shannon ride with Jaden, but he insists on taking her to the bathroom. :confused3 I say, you can't send her in the bathroom by herself, and he says "I will take her into the men's, they have stalls". I was a little scared for my little girl going into the men's restroom, but I let him take her anyway. I have seen little boys in the ladies restrooms, but to me that is a little different. So, Jaden and I only wait about 5 minutes to ride. By the time our ride was over, they were back from the bathroom and it went well. I think I remember Jaden and Shannon riding Goofy's Barnstormer while Madi and I got something to drink. I love the frozen lemonade from the Toontown Farmers Market.

Then we head back to Frontierland to use our fastpasses for SM.

We didn't get many photopass pics today. Here is what we got:

Our plans for the evening is to go over to HS and watch Fantasmic. We only saw this on our first trip in 07. I didn't remember it being as good as it was.

We arrive a little early. I check the wait times for ToT, but it is 45 minutes, I don't feel like waiting. The kids are getting hungry. They get Pizza's at Catalina Eddie's. Shannon and I share BBQ chicken from the Studion Catering Co.

After we eat, everyone is starting to line up for Fantasmic. So we get in line and wait. Didn't realize the stadium was so far down the walkway!!!

We get back to the resort at about 11:15 pm. The kids swim for a little while.

Shannon and I say we will relax with a drink while the kids swim, but we never do.

This is our Animal Kingdom day. We only plan one day at this park. We get up and eat breakfast at the resort and then head over to AK. I don't remember what exactly we ate, but I can guarantee my kids ate french toast. :lovestruc

We haven't been taking many PP pics. I vow that today we will take a picture with every photographer we see. Every other trip, we hardly took any pics at AK. Well, today changes things.

We find a PP photographer before we enter the park. I love the Magic Shots they do.

I think this park is the hottest park. I don't know if it is because all of the greenery and the pathways seem smaller. Anywho, we make our way to Kilamangaro Safaris. Along the way, we see a couple
of PP photographers, bur their lines are a little long. Then we find a PP photographer in front of the Tree of Life

We make it to KS. I don't remember the line being to long. The kids love to look at all of the animals. We have a park called Global Wildlife not far from where we go camping that is sort of like KS.
You ride these covered wagons and see all sorts of safari animals. The biggest difference between KS and Global Wildlife, you can feed the animals at Global Wildlife. We usually buy a bucket of food for around
$5 and you get a few cups. Just hold out the cup with food and the animals come right up to you and eat. So, the whole ride, Madi keeps asking to feed the animals. :rotfl:

Off Topic: Please wish Jaden luck for this weekend. pixiedust: We are going to her National Dance Competition in Biloxi Mississippi. Another weekend on the road.

Good luck Jaden!!!

We have only one day booked for our upcoming trip to do AK too! I find as long as we get there for rope drop we can do everything we like and hit a couple of stores on our way out!

I find it terribly hot there, especially in the summer months! I absolutely love the FOTLK show and I can never miss it!

Thanks!!

We never seem to make it to AK for rope drop b/c we seem to have an ADR for breakfast but usually make it their by 10 or so. Maybe next trip we can plan a resort breakfast on this day.

Hope Jaden did well in the dance competition!

Great pics from KS. We always seems to go there first. Theory is that the animals will be more active, but we haven't really seen the lions yet.

It seems that though we were at disney at the same time we went to different parks. We went to both MK and AK a day before you did. Looks like the crowds weren't too bad for you either. It was smart to not be at DHS on a fantasmic night, both days we went were and they were crowded:scared:

Thanks!! Jaden performed two dances, one class dance and a production number with the whole competition team. They received two sterling silver medals and her class dance was chosen to perform after awards for a dance off. I don't know yet what they received for this, we left after she performed b/c it was 9:30 pm and we had been there since 11 am.

The crowds were not bad at all. I wish I would have done a pretrip report. So many people on here were they at the same time, it would have been neet to have a meet.

Good luck Jaden! And I agree, AK is the hottest park ever! A CM told me that it's because of all the greenery & they water it all day & all night so it stays so pretty, that makes it more humid & hotter than the rest of the parks.

When KS is over, we walk throught the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. We had never did this before.

The whole trip, the girls have been asking to have their faces painted. Each time we pass by a stand, it is late. I don't want to spend $15 on face painting that will be washed off in a couple of hours.
Once we walked out of the PFET, we will make our way to Kali River Rapids. On our way there, they have a face painting stand. So we let the girls get their faces painted:

Then we make it to Kali River Rapids. The wait time was only like 20 minutes and I don't think it took that long. This is the only ride they measured Madi for and they stamped her hand. Come to think of it, she didn't ride any other one that needed measureing besides SM. Madi was getting scared as we waited. I kept reassuring her that it was going to be ok and that she was special because she was the only one with a stamp. Well, for the drop, who is sitting with our back down the drop, but Madi and I. Well we get soaked and I mean soaked.

Madi is upset when we get off because she is wet and doesn't have her bathing suit on. How funny! :rotfl: She said she actually liked this ride and will ride again with MIL and FIL next year.

Beautiful face paintings!!!!!!

Also I might have to try that Pagani Trail- those pics were gorgeous!!!
