Does anyone know of any discount codes for GWL in Concord NC?

We are looking to go a Friday in May but we only wanted to stay 1 night. The weekend we are looking at is $293 a few months ago when I checked it was $169 +tax...I kick myself for not booking it then!

Which Friday? If you are talking about 5/18 or 5/25, you probably won't find a discount as those are both NASCAR race weekends.

Ahhhh....that makes sense. It was 5/18. I guess we are out of luck...guess we will put it off till some sort of discount comes out.

If you're not going to the speedway, you really don't want to go that weekend any way. Traffic on Bruton Smith Boulevard is beyond congested before and especially after the race. I live nearby and wouldn't dream of doing that intersection Saturday afternoon/evening. As you might guess, the restaurants in the area and Concord Mills are mobbed, too.

Absolutely!! We live in Rowan County ( about 20 minutes North of GWL ) and wouldn't dream of going anywhere South on I85 during a race weekend. Beyond crazy!

I wondered why that weekend was a little more than the others, but now I understand. Is there a place to see a list of when race weekends are?

Here's the link to the event schedule for the speedway. The only thing that would make me avoid the area completely are Nascar Races. Any other event is a drop in the bucket.

The NHRA Nationals in September also draws a big crowd. Otherwise, it's May and October. This year the Democratic National Convention will rule out Labor Day weekend - there are several delegations staying in that area including Texas and Montana at the Great Wolf.
