We had a great stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge from 12/26 to 1/4. There was one big disappointment, though. We were looking forward to the end of the Xmas carols so we could hear the WL area music we love so much, but when the day came, that great music was gone. Instead, there was some generic, jazzy music that seemed to have nothing at all to do with the Wilderness theme.

If you've stayed at the lodge before, you know the music I mean. There was Copland, music from Dances With Wolves, and other stuff that really made you feel like you were in the great Northwest. The new music could be from anywhere at all.

Does anyone know when/why this change was made? I guess it's not a big deal, in the big scheme of things, but one of the touches that made the Lodge special for us is gone.

Funny you should mention that. I'm listening to Mouse House Radio on Live365, and its during the Wilderness Lodge hour. Here's also what I did. I copied down the names of the songs and composers/artists off of Mouse House. Went to Napster and was able to find about 12 of them. Did the same thing for Tower of Terror music. I burned about an 80 minute CD (1/2 Wilderness Lodge, 1/2 TOT).

I'm really hoping that they will bring back the music. It really is such a big part of the overall experience at this resort.

Hi KevinFSU-
What is Mouse House Radio on Live365? This sounds like something I'd enjoy!

go to www.live365.com

It is internet Radio and there are tons of Disney radio sations you can listen to! It is so fabulous I love Sorcerer Radio. Here is a link to the Sorcerer Website (they have posted the songs they play)

Thank you so much! I was able to play the Sorcerer station. However, I did try Mouse House Radio b/c I love WL, but when I click "Play," nothing happens. Does anyonehave any tips? Thanks again!

Hmmmmm.. not sure what the issue could be. However, Mouse House has a two hour block of Wilderness Lodge on Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon. Go the the broadcast schedule and you'll see the times.

hmmm I don't know either w/o having more info. What are you using to play the stations? You might try the help section on live 365 if you have not already tried it:

There are lots of great disney stations out there so be sure to search in live 365 for disney.

Another plus about Mouse House radio it is run by a couple of DISers. I remember their tags as DVCJen and DVCIan(I believe thats his tag :confused3 )

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief, the music is back. :goodvibes

Oh, I'm so glad! I wonder why they would have played something different after New Year's? It was really lame music.

It was probably a temporary glitch. On our last day at Saratoga Springs we were waiting in the lobby of our town car to the airport when the music there got stuck and kept repeating a three of four second section over and over. This went on for several minutes and was getting on our nerves so we went to the front desk and mentioned it to them. They said "Oh no not again!" They told us that this was the third chip they had burned out. They then went back and turned of the offending music and put on Christmas music!? This was on Nov 5th mind you. The bell hop groaned and said "Not yet" Maybe it was a similar situation at Wilderness Lodge. Glad to hear that the great regular music is back. I fell in love with it on my stay and have also compiled a cd of the music.

We just returned from the Wilderness Lodge and the music is a disaster. During the entire week we never heard Magnificent Seven, How the West Was Won or other western favorites. Just generic smooth jazz. We need to do something about this.
