I thought I would let you all know about a website I ran across...I was looking for video footage of the mummy ride, so I could see if I was brave enough to ride it...I found universalignited.com, which has videos of everything at IOA and US...also phone numbers for production schedules, tips, pictures, etc...I found it very useful

It says that all the characters are no longer there...Is that true???

First things first, there is a quote I came across which said:
"Hey... just to let you know, if you haven't heard....
At 2 pm today, all of the animated personel, and select members of atmosphere, were told to be at an emergency mandatory meeting tonight.
Final result: No more charecters in Toon Lagoon. Popeye, Olive and Bluto are being dropped. Woody Woodpecker will be at Port Of Entry. Bullwinkle will be at Universal. Betty Boop has been bumped . No more Betty.Toon is now a ghost town.
At Seuss Landing, no more Sam I Am, or Green Eggs Guy. All street hosts through both parks(Toon, Suess, Madagascar, Universal...) terminated. No more stilt walkers. Merlin gone from Lost Continent. Flintstones, Betty and Barney Rubble, Popeye and Olive were all kicked off the trolly. "
To sum that up, Universal characters are being fired, the reason is unkown to me, hopefully we will see some new characters soon!

great post. I too have been to Universal many times, but I find I cant get enough of it and go to these sites to fill the void until my next trip. The Mummy was cool, it just slams you around pretty hard so hang on tight. the special efffects are great, but go by way too fast. I think it was designed so a person would want to go on and on again to pick up what they may have left off. the pre-board presentation is really cool too,

What is happening to the park since my last visit. I have been reading about signature rides like Jaws being closed to save money, but cutting the characters too. It seems from what I read that since the new ownership took affect they are cutting everything.
