Just got back from 3 days at the parks. Overcast, humid, packed, but tons of fun. The decorations for the anniversary celebration were excellent. The Paint the Night Parade exceeded expectations. The WOC offering, not so much. Good, but not as dazzling as the normal show, nice tributes though. Did the Blue Bayou Fantasmic package, good view, miss the chairs from the dessert package. Stayed at Carousel Inn for the first time, nice room, but noisy, and leaky.
We did Sunday-Tuesday, August 9-11, Tuesday was easily the busiest day. Crowds swelled early, sometimes before 10 am. No sun until 11-11:30 each day, but pretty humid, so seemed hotter than it actually was, and there were a lot more bodies around than we typically see in August. On the day we left the sun was out bright an early, must have been a scorcher on Wednesday.
I should have a full trip report up in a day or two. P.S., Matterhorn is still pretty bumpy:
