Great steaks?

I had a fantastic filet with bernaise sauce and sauteed mushrooms at the Yachtsman...wonderful! Add the lobster bisque, the onion rolls with butter and roasted garlic and a chocolate lava cake with mint chocolate chip getlato and I was a VERY HAPPY GIRL!

And that is why I am so excited about going in November!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Concourse Steakhouse, in my experience, always had the best steak. My visit last month was the best one yet. Sad to see it go.

Second favorite place for steak would be Artist Point, but being signature, you may be looking for more casual.

I have had pretty good luck at Coral Reef, actually. And the atmosphere is great!

Thanks for all the great opinions on the delicious steaks you've had! Now I'm really hungry for a yummy steak! Well, on this visit I was looking casual, so I think we will definitely do Kona! Now to decide, filet or prime rib, they both look mmmmmmgood!! And, my DD17 would like to do Coral reef and that sounds great too, so, we might also add that. Anyway, thanks for all the good suggestions! :goodvibes

while we're on this topic, my family and I have an ADR for Le Cellier...which steak do you prefer from their menu...the filet or the new york strip? and what's really the difference besides the size?
I would order the filet, simply because tenderness is more important than size to me. And for starters, I'd recommend the Canadian Cheese Soup. It's awesome, dude!

:wizard: Karnak

Le Cellier has great steak. I can't tell you if Yachtsman Steakhouse did because mine tasted too well done there.

This may sound crazy but... Have you tried the Pepper Market (food court) at CSR? Hands down the best prime rib I've had at WDW! Steak, potatoes, veggies all for less than $20!!!! Wash it down with an ice cold Dos Equis beer :drinking1 and you've got a great meal. Pepper Market is very casual so no need to fuss.

Try it out, you won't be sorry...:thumbsup2

For those not on DDP, the steak at Le Cellier is only a couple $ less than the Signature restaurants. IMHO, the Signature restaurants are much better. They're definitely worth a couple extra $.

I had the filet at Le Cellier, Cali Grill, and as part of the Surf and Turf at Narcoosees and I'd have to say that Le Cellier and Narcoosees were better than Cali Grill. They were like butter at those two places. Melt in your mouth good. Not to say that Cali Grill wasn't good, but these were better.

In order so far:
Victoria and Albert's (both the Kobe and Midwestern beef is great, but the elk is the best)
Shula's (it is freezing in there though)
Jiko (the mac and cheese and wine sauce makes it)
Yachtsman's SH (their Porterhouse is great)
Flying Fish
Blue Zoo
Narcoossee's
Bistro (flambayed tableside-really good flavor)
Le Cellier (I like their NY Strip better-good flavor)
California Grill (not a fan of the Tamarind sauce. I love their sushi though)

disneyfanUSA, I love your avatar pic, is that one you took while there? Love the purple castle and the fireworks, Awesome!!:lovestruc

We just got back from Disney and our goal is to find the best steak on property. We ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Concourse, and Tutto Italia. My husband and I both think Yachtsman and Le Cellier are the best out of this group. With Tutto Italia next in line. Coral Reef is normally good but this last time it was very chewy and Concourse disappointed us greatly.

The best steak I have had is at Concourse Steakhouse which is closing on May 31st but I heard this morning that they are going to have the same steak and the new Wave restaurant at the Contemporary. So it all depends on when you are going. That is what I would recommend though.

I should also add that I only started eating steak last year and so I haven't really had a trip where I have had the chance to eat a lot of steak. We are going in September on DxDDP and I plan to order steak a lot. When are you going?

My favorite was the Terriyaki Steak at Kona's - but husband's favorite was at Le Cellier. :rotfl2:
