Great price on standard SUV

We are renting from Tampa, so I don't know if different areas offer different rates, but I got an SUV (Chevy Trailblazer or Jeep Grand Cherokee) from Alamo for $174. I've been entering codes all day trying to come up with the best deal and that one did it.

Thanks for this! I used both the code and the coupon and booked a SUV for 2/7 - 2/14 for 209. We pay a little more because we dont pick up and drop off at the same location. Thanks so much for the tip!

Ok , when are you going to Tampa?
All I can get with those codes are :
$473.76
2 weeks ( March 1 - March 15 )
and that's only for a midsize car...
I'm hanging on to a ressie I made back in Dec. ( for the March dates from Tampa)
for $313.25 ( all taxes in ) for a midsize suv from National.
(Alamo and National are both off site in Tampa... FYI.)
I guess I'll just stick with that one . Wow, have the rates ever gone up.

We got our Trailblazer yesterday from the Tampa Alamo. The shuttle was there as soon as we got our bags out the door and didn't even wait to see if anyone else was interested so we had the bus to ourselves. He was very pleasant and due to construction it took less than 10 minutes but I guess it's normally only about 3 when taking the direct route. They showed us how to do self check in and sent us out to pick our vehicle. They also had Toyota (Sebring ring a bell? DH is the car buff, I could care less as long as it's comfortable) but the Trailblazer has rear air so we took that, not that we'll need it this week.

Are you using the codes right? Our friend got hers two days later and actually paid $153 without a coupon I think. Wish dh would have told me that but he didn't know we could cancel and rebook. It may be based on us booking last minute and if you wait the price will come down. I've never had a problem with off site car rentals.

Those are amazing rates! I really want to rent a car/SUV and try driving just once. The kids are getting old enough to "appreciate" going through and seeing different states.

Response to the Tampa Renters; Try Dollar, go to Dollar specials and enter
KISS2 in the promo box. It has often given me a very good rate at TPA.
