We'll have a car on our next trip down - for the first time. We have done DDP on our last few trips but with a picky 10 year old and a rental car we thought it would be better to leave our options open for our meals this time around.
Any suggestions for restaurants to try nearby? We'll spend some time shopping and it would be great to make an outing of it and find something different to try.
We have 2 boys (10 and 6) both will try anything as long as there is pasta or burgers etc. to have as an option.
Suggestions?

Just a few of our favorites:

Olive Garden
Fridays
Longhorn Steak House
Outback
Macaroni Grill
Hooters (wife says we have to do takeout :rolleyes1 )

Lots of good places on 192 and Crossroads. Both very easy to get to .

That's incorrect. They have seating, and you can stay as long as you like. It's the going home afterward that gets dicey. ;)

The Orlando Alel House is a great off-site restaurant. It's actually a sports bar. It has a very extensive menu with very reasonable prices.

Turn left out of the Crossroads & I believe it is the next signal up. Make a left at that signal. We go there at least 2X every trip!!!

I'd also highly recommend Charlies in Kissimmee. It has the best steaks and the best lobsters that I've ever eaten!

We like Friendly's..........

If you our from New England area you know who they are......we like it because we have moved south 4 years ago and they do not have any in NC but they do have a few in Florida and 1 is about 8 miles from Disney. Best Ice Cream around, good meals, great sundae's for desert, great kids menu, and Very reasonable. Good for Breakfast too!

Yep, Charlie's is definitely on our list for our May trip.

As is Columbia, in Celebration. Columbia is one of the premier old-line Spanish restaurants from Ybor City in Tampa. Wonderful food, great service. We always go to Columbia whenever we go to Longboat Key (Sarasota) or St. Augustine, but I just found out they have one in Celebration. Easily worth a trip.

Wow, the menu for Columbia looks great! Maybe I'll skip the DDP and eat off-site a few nights. Thanks, Jim.
