Someone once recommended that when parking your car, use a digital camera (even on your cell phone) to take a picture of the area/number where you're parked. We used to struggle to remember; not easy after walking all day in the heat. Now we just snap a shot as we walk to the tram and delete it when we're back. It's so easy! Now we do it at the airport too! Brilliant! :cool1:

even better than "noting" section & row# (which are non-existent), as the sections and rows are soooo big.

Visual orientation with a landmark and some of the lightpoles works for me!

Now that I have a digital camara, I will be doing this little tip... cool, Thank's for sharing. :bitelip:

My husband is a smoker, so after we parked, he would just jot the parking spot ie: Daisy 44 on the inside of his cig pack. At the end of the day he just checked the pack. At least there is one useful thing about cigs.

Great idea! I can use this one along with the idea of taking a picture of my DD6 each day to remember what she's wearing in case we get separated. :thumbsup2

Thanks, that's a great idea too. I hope we never need it but always good to have just in case! :goodvibes

dh just made a suggestion that todders have a sticker on their back with their parents cell phone #. They can't see it and won't pull it off. :)
Come to think of it, for our next trip I'll make a little card for ds6 and ds9 to keep in their pockets so they can just go to a CM for fast help. :cool1:

Good idea for the parking lot - and to take it a bit further, just in case you have a rental car, perhaps a photo of that, with the number plate..?? I can't remember what type of car I get - ususally only the colour and if that colour is white...help! :confused3 :rotfl:

I like these ideas--both for the parking and for your kids. And if you don't want to have to sort through all the pictures on your digital camera, you could always take a couple quick shots with your camera phone, which you probably wouldn't be using as often.

Great suggestion...and I'll add one more peripheral tip having to do with (rental) cars and cameras.

I suggest taking pictures of your rental car when you first get it that show what kind of condition it's in, especially if there's a ding or scratch. (In addition to pointing out the condition of the car to one of the rental agents.) Set you camera to record date/time of photo. That way, if there's any type of dispute you have some visual proof that will hopefully avoid a lot of hassle later on.

I'm not sure if it was me that you got the idea from about taking a picture of the isle name, but I have also posted it on here before. I have been doing this for the last couple of years. Like you said, by the end of the day, you tired and it's been a long day since you parked your car. Another idea about the digital camera. Make a card with your name and phone number or email address on it. That way, if you loose your camera and someone finds it or it gets to lost and found, if they look at the pictures, they will know who the camera belongs to. If they're honest, maybe they will contact you.

So true. That's why we love WDW! I put down my camera for a sec while renting a stroller and in the chaos of the crowd, forgot it. Within 5 mins. it was returned. It had no name/ID on it but it was in the pre-digital days so I described it and was sure it was mine. WDW is such a great, happy, nice place. :cloud9:
