The results are in and...
Luke is CANCER FREE! I'm still not believing it myself. I guess I was prepared for the worst news possible. But God is so good and we couldn't be more thankful for the terrific news! It has been a tough day as Luke had to be poked 4 times to get an IV in for his last scan and then he got nauseous from the contrast he had to drink- but it was worth it for the results we got! He is an amazingly brave boy and he continues to surprise all of the medical staff with his patience as he endures all of the treatments. Last week he laid still for a 2 hour scan! He didn't have to be sedated at all because he cooperated so well for 3 days! We are still waiting for the results of the CT scan, which would indicate if he has any unexpected masses in his body. But the MIBG scan was completely clear so even if there is a mass it would not be cancerous. His urine test needs to be redone in a month because the results were a little higher than normal, but still not anything to cause too much concern according to the doctor. Luke looks great and feels great! Thank you so very much once again for your fervent prayers for Luke- they've made ALL the difference!
