So, My Dfi is pregnant! WOOT! :cool1:

Only problem, we have a trip planned in Jan..... Her first. She still wants to go, and I obviously support it. She'll be just over three months at the time we go, and the OB/GYN said it's no problem.

Now here's where the question comes in: I've already talked to my TA and gotten a list of rides that she can't go on: Obviously the moutains are straight out, as is star tours, ToT, and RnRC (a shame, she really wanted to go on ALL of them... I've promised a trip to disney soon, just the two of us, to compensate), but ironically, the place that has the most rides that she can't ride is Animal Kingdom....

The Kali River Rapids, I understand. As the Triceratops Twirl, Dinosaur (another she wanted to ride), and EE.

But Kilimanjaro Safari's? I know it's bumpy at times, but i don't remember it being any worse then going down a dirt road, or through a few potholes..... Is it really that bad?

congrats on the new bundle of joy! My DH and I just found out we're expecting too! We'll be doing down in January too.

I'm excited to read feedback on your questions...:)

It's not bad, but then again I've never been pregnant!

I went on it when I was pregnant. I was 4 months along. The CM said it was bumpy which is why they recommend to pregant women.(I had never been on it before) He said that the front was the least bumpiest, so I asked for that and was fine.

I rode KS when I was 7 months gone. No problem. The worst place to sit is in the very back, sit closer to the front and there's no trouble.

What made me decide to get on it was that there was no seatbelt. I figured, it could have been anymore bumpy than the street around DC after snow, so I would be fine.

Congratulations!

I've riden it twice pregnant- And yes SIT IN THE FRONT. It's a little bumpy- but only you know if you are comfortable with that. I was fine but then again I am not a doctor.

No it is not that bad:sad2:. But I do I agree with you it will get a little bumpety at times but it is a very calm ride:cloud9:.

hope this helps you alot:cool1: :thumbsup2  :goodvibes :dance3: :yay:

Okay, I'll probably get flammed for this, but I was 9 weeks preggers with number three kiddo, and rode all of those rides. Yep TOT, RNR, Splash. Even my ob said "they are such a small little speck in there, and so well protected" I rode them all with absolutely no problems. The one that I feel I should have skipped ( and forgot about the loop until too late) was RNR. The others are just speed. Dinosaur is bumpy, I think Primeviel Twirl is tougher on the body and as far as Kilamanjaro Safarri...I was laughing. Really so many of these things they say "preganant in a NO" because they are afraid some dope will ride them a week before they are due, or that they will miscarry, and then sue. Heck I felt okay with it because while preggers with #1, I didn't even KNOW I was preggers until 16 weeks, and rode all sorts of rides, drove a wave runner all day, and all was good.

Basically I think she should do what she feels comfortable with. How about you go on the rides first thinking about the pregnancy, and then decide if you think she could ride.

Either way, congratulations on the pregnancy! Best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy and baby!!

No flames here. I went snow skiing at 2 months and only stopped skydiving at 3-4 months. I have friends who continued further. My point is: Whatever SHE is comfortable with and HER OB/GYN is comfortable with - go for it. That is not the same for every woman, or for every pregnancy for any 1 woman. She knows her body best.

For ME, I would probably be fine with Splash, EE, Safari, Kali. BUT probably not with the ones that throw you around a bit, like BTMRR, PW, RNR (not rough but very strong G-forces in the loops). And don't get me started with the Teacups - NO WAY!!!
