I just posted this on another thread (I was looking for similar software for kids to learn music notes) but I think this is such a great program I wanted to give it it's own thread!

My DD 10 has used this program for a couple of months now--2 to 3 x per week for 15 to 20 minutes each time--following the series of lessons and is having a lot of fun learning to type!

Just thought I'd share this info if any of you are looking for a good program like this...

Thanks for posting this! I just bought this for my dd9 - she's been begging me to put her in "typing classes" LOL -and so I bought her this instead. I was hoping it would help her learn in a fun way, but I didn't do any research to see how good it was. She's obviously a little young to need to know how to type, but I allow her supervised email and internet use and she's getting frustrated with the hunt and peck method :p

Laurie :)

laurie31--I hope your dd likes it! 9 is a great age to learn! Once she gets on MSN with her friends it will come in very handy to be able to type like the wind!

I do recommend regular use to get maximum benefit--at least a couple of times a week.

It is hilarious to hear Spongebob say something like 'don't get discouraged' when the kids make a mistake. This is the best kids software my DD has ever had.
