Great Impression With Airtran!

Our family just got back from Disney on Thursday, and I had to tell everyone this story! Our flight back home from Orlando to Indianapolis left at 11:15 in the AM, had a connection in Atlanta(a 3 hour connection time), and didn't get into Indianapolis until almost 6pm. Disneys ME picked us up at 8:15AM, but by the time we went to 3 other resorts to pick everyone up we didn't arrive at MCO until about 9:30. The Airtran line to check baggage was EXTREMELY long, so my husband said there was no way we were going to make our flight to Atlanta. There was a girl in front of us that left for a minute, then came back by the line to tell us that there were baggage checkers outside and the there was no line. We said "OK", so we headed towards the door to go outside, and there was an Airtran employee at the door. He told us to leave our bags inside by the door and for us to stay with the bags( we have two DS that are 9 and 5). We gave him our flight information and he went outside to check the bags and get our boarding passes. He came back and said to us "I see you have a long layover in Atlanta. Let me go check something else for you". He went behind the check-in counter on the inside of the airport and came back a few minutes later. You won't believe this!!! He came back with tickets for a direct flight from MCO to IND. The best part is that he did not charge us a penny for the change!!! Of course, my husband gave him like $50.00, but that was so worth it to us! The only bad part is that our flight did not leave MCO until 1:45, but we shopped in a few of the stores, and ate some lunch. It was nice on the way back because our flight was just over 2 hours, so we were all able to take a nap on the plane. I already e-mailed Airtran to let them know of the great service we received. Oh, his name is Tony, so if anyone else is flying out of MCO in the near future, FIND HIM!!! I was very impressed by this and you can be sure we would be happy to fly Airtran again! Sorry this was so long, but just had to share this awesome story!

We just got back yesterday and loved Airtran! There are so many employees around check in was fast! We will definately fly them again - beats NW anyday!

Glad to hear about the great service with airtran. We are flying them in August for the first time. We are saving $600.00 bucks by flying with them. Glad that you were able to get a non stop flight back home.
