Just wanted to share that we just got back and had a great rental experience with Alamo at MCO. Used the Costco discount and coupon (which also gets you a free additional driver), joined the Insiders Club beforehand and so avoided the long line at the counter by using the kiosk, and drove off in a free upgrade from a fullsize to a brand new minivan (we had our pick of multiple vehicles in the "fullsize" aisle). Return was fast and easy! We kept checking rates as our dates got closer and rebooked a few times so here's what we ended up with:

Base Rate - Fullsize (USD)
(1) Week Rate ($102.19/week) $102.19

Contract I.D. 7015309
Guaranteed Base Rate Included
(1) Additional Driver Included
Unlimited Miles Included

Subtotal.............................................$102.19

Discounts
Discount ($10.22)
Costco May 2010 Campaign ($30.00)

Subtotal............................................($40.22)

Additional Drivers
xxx ($9.99/Day)

Additional Items
Daily Freq Traveler Surcharge $2.50
Additional Driver ($9.99/day) $0.00

Subtotal...............................................$2.50

Taxes, Surcharges and Fees
Customer Facility Charge 2.50/day $12.50
Airport Access Fee 10 % $6.76
Florida Surcharge 2.00/day $10.00
Tire/battery Fee .02/day $0.10
Vehicle License Fee .60/day $3.00
Sales Tax (6.50%) $6.13

Subtotal..............................................$38.49

Estimated Total......................................$102.96

Great deal and would recommend Alamo! :)

Good to hear and a great rate! Thanks for the info.

Alamo is my favorite at MCO too. Just to be clear though you don't need to join any Club to use the kiosk. I'm still amazed how many people are waiting in line when I approach several open kiosks at the Alamo area.

I'm shocked too. I usually run ahead of my family pushing the luggage cart and by the time they get to the glass doors to go out to the rental lot, I'm just meeting them at the same point. If I had to wait in line, it would never go that well and I'd also have to push luggage so it works out well for me :)

I just did a quick pricing for our car rental with Alamo for April vacation. I know it's the time of the year for jacked up pricing, but it came in at $915.41 for the least expensive rental!! Granted, that is also for 10 days instead of 7 but you have to be kidding me! $900 for the economy car??? Any chance you might want to share that Costco code??
Last year we traveled same time and the car was under $300.
Not only did our flights almost double from last year from $900 last year to $1700 this year but now the car too? Wow!
