Speaking of Lane Bryant.... I have a question...I have about 7 boxes of clothes, ranging in sizes of 18 to 26, almost everything is from lane bryant...i used to work there too
have any of you guys sold items on ebay? My clothes are in great condition and I hate to just donate them, especially since i have been out of work a few months and could use the money...i was thinking of putting them up on ebay.I have bought alot of stuff on ebay, but never sold and have heard mixed reviews on selling on ebay...any thoughts??

Try Craigslist first. Ebay charged to list, charges when it sells, and requires a trip to the post office, and since postage is so high right now, you will have to add shipping. Craigslist is free, and local, so you can arrange a pickup. If it doesn' sell on craiglist, try to sell as one lot on eBay, rather than piece by piece.

I also wear balconettes. I'd had only one for a while and since losing some weight have realized that these are the best fitting, so I just bought 4 more during the sale. They are great!!

I wear them and love them. I'm big too and I find them very comfy. I say go for it - with this sale, even if you only sort of like them, it's worth the price to try it.

I almost exclusively wear balconettes, they are by far the best bras I have ever worn, and I've been wearing bras since 3rd grade. I am a 38H, and they fit great. There are 3 or 4 colors you can get in at my size, and I am pretty sure the F and G cups you can get blues and pinks, too.

I do find that they are the most true to my sizing too. I used to work at LB, but have been measuring myself for years. And often I find that even though I know my size, like everything else, not everyone makes them the same. But with the Balconette, they are exactly what I measured it to be.

I used to make a killing on ebay with my clothes. I would sell in lots of shirts, pants, shorts, capris etc all in the same size. I would get $60-75 for 4-5 pieces average.
I don't do it anymore because I just don't have the time.

I used to work for Lane Bryant too, first as a sales associate, then a co-manager. I left in 1999 to pursue accounting (BS in Acctg - about time to use the degree, lol). Sales associates got a 30% discount and managers received a 40% discount. I believe that is still what they give, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

In 2003-2004 it was 40% regularly and 60% one weekend a month. When you worked there they were owned by the Express, and the discount was less. Now they are owned by Charming Shoppes.

I got 4 bras and a cute babydoll sweater $60.97. What a deal!

Savings was $113.53. I got $174.50 worth of stuff for just $60.97. I used the $25 code, it would have cost me more for just the 4 bras if I removed the sweater.

I hope I like the bras I ordered. I have not been happy with my last ones since I had DS. Just curious if anyone wears the Balconettes and likes them??? These are the ones the sales clerk recommend the last time I was in.

The balconettes are the only bras I have worn for the last 2 years since I found them! They are so comfortable! No digging into my shoulders,no underwire digging into my underarms and no overflow!!

I had a little trouble with the code at first--I found it was because of the type of shirt I had in my cart so I went and found another shirt I liked tried the code again and it went thru just fine!

Nevermind, I just figured it out. One bra had an * beside of it. Even though it had 'buy 2 get 2' on it, the asterisk said it was not included toward any discounts. Also the Spanx had the same asterisk so were not included toward the $225.00 total I needed. I removed the one bra, (kept the Spanx), then added another five pairs of panties. My total would have been $502.99 , but with the free bras, 5 prs panties for $25.00 special, and the $75.00 off I saved $313.07. The total came out to $189.92 plus $15.67 tax for a total of $205.59 for twelve bras, ten pairs of panties, and a pair of Spanx. By the way, the free shipping apparently was still good today.
