Can someone drop out of school, go to beauty school, drop out of there, and just go back to regular school without making up work or repeating the grade? It's never mentioned just how long Frenchie was out of Rydell High.

She doesn't graduate Rydell with the rest of them. In Grease 2, she goes back to Rydell to complete the credits she needs to graduate.

I always thought Grease was set in California, I guess because of the beach. I also wondered why everyone sounded like they were from New Jersey if it was supposed to be on the West Coast. Strangely, I never thought of the Jersey shore or Long Island.
