Gray Stuff??

Hi! I'm on my way back to DW in just two short months, and although we went to BoG the past two trips, we aren't this time around. I was absolutely IN LOVE with the gray stuff when we went and I really want to get it during our next trip, but we don't have ADRs there. Is there any way/where I can get it or is it exclusive to people dining there?

Nope. Have to have an ADR.

Or, buy some Cool Whip and toss it in a blender with a handful of oreos.

We just did a walk up at BOG on Dec. 18. There were only two of us and we were in the area so we thought we would give it a try (BTW, this is the second time we were successful doing this, but, again, we are a small party). When we went to the check in kiosk, I asked politely if there was any chance for a walk-up, the CM looked at the line on the bridge (which wasn't very long at the time), handed us a menu and told us to go ahead! If it is only you and you are willing to give it a shot, I would just go to the check-in kiosk and politely ask. I would probably try it at an off-peak time (like late breakfast or late lunch time). Just be prepared for a long line (once we got inside the restaurant, we still waited about 20 minutes to get to the ordering kiosk) if they let you in.

I was able to snag a BOG reservation about four days before our trip last month. It was at 11:15am for lunch, which at the time I thought was insanely early - but ended up working out great. There was very limited crowds to get into the restaurant. I would suggest looking for an ADR for 1. You can always just grab the cupcake and meet up with the rest of your party afterwards. It shouldn't take all that long.

Grey stuff is the topping for the Master's Cupcake, though...which you can get at lunch.

As @_auroraborealis_ said though...if she likes it that much, throw a couple of scoops of cool whip into a blender with some Oreo cookies.

We always find openings at BOG about two weeks in advance up until the night before. Don't give up. They have lots of last minute cancellations!

Pixie dust story. My DW, DD's (twins 12 year old's) and I went a few years back for my wife and daughters birthday. Me an one of my daughters went to AK while my wife and other daughter went to MK. They wanted to have lunch at BOG but did not have a reservation and asked anyway. The CM very nicely said there was no room without a reservation (which my wife understood), however the CM then said "Well, you have a reservation now" after looking at their birthday celebration pins. Pretty cool.
