Grape pop tarts are GONE!

I'm not a big fan of pop tarts, but my whole life I have enjoyed grape ones--preferably cold (I kept them in the fridge). I used to buy myself a box once in a while.
Since spring I haven't seen them in Meijer--they have all kinds of crap, mystery flavors like "sparkleberry" but I don't buy them. DH buys some like strawberry or cherry for the kids sometimes.
Today I opened an article on "things you won't see in 2007" and it mentioned grape pop tarts have been totally discontinued since May, due to low demand!
Oh well. They weren't good for me anyhow. :guilty:

I've never seen a grape poptart

We liked the Grape flavored ones also.

We only had one store around us that sold them--Food Lion. They changed over to Bloom and no more Grape-- ANYWHERE.

I really hate this. There are so many flavors of things I like and then they just discontinue them. I think the only reason Grape wasn't more popular was that no one carried them.

I also agree that Pop-Tarts come in way too many odd flavors now. They are best in their simple form.

Neither have I.
My 16 yr old son is, I believe, the biggest pop tart fan in the world. The kid would live on them if I let him.
Robin, I'm sorry they've discontinued them. I hate it when something I really like suddenly disappears from the grocery store.

I know, I hate it when things disappear too. I used to buy 2 or 3 half-gallon containers of nestea diet iced tea every week at Meijer, and a month or so ago they stopped selling it there--they only have regular iced tea now. (they probably have it in single servings, but I liked the convenience of the half-gallon.)
I loved the diet stuff. I get in a rut about shopping and haven't checked other stores for it, but maybe this week should be the time since I'm on Christmas break. I have been drinking a lot more diet pop since it disappeared.

Have you tried the blueberry? It's VERY similar to the grape. (And doesn't taste in the LEAST like anything blueberry flavored that I've ever eaten! :confused3 ) My mom used to get grape and blueberry mixed up. It used to be my favorite until the cinn/sugar ones came out. Mmmmmm....

I haven't seen grape pop tarts here in a long time. I also liked them very much. Now I buy the basic strawberry and blueberry with NO icing on them. I hope they don't discontinue these because of their "basicness"

There's Grape Pop-Tarts? god, my dad and my brother live on them and I've never seen one in my 13 years of life. *pouty face* I feel so left out.

Don't feel bad. I didn't learn of them until my kids were about 9 and 6. I went to the beach for a week with my cousin and she had them for her kids. Said they were the best things in the world. I was off Pop-Tarts by then personally because, IMO, they've gotten too chemical testing. But, the grape ones WERE pretty good. So, I had to specifically look for them in the four grocery stores in my area. Only one store carried them and they were in their own tiny little row. Hard to find.

You probably passed them by and never knew about them.

I saw that article too! CompUSA is also going bye bye.

Don't ya hate in when they take away your favorites? Thats happened to me a hundred times over!

Always reminds me of Elaine on Seinfeld -- you know...the sponge? lol

Cheers,
Josh
