Grand Villa at OKW

I'm sure someone out there knows about how many 3br Grand Villas are available at OKW. We're planning a Sept 2006 visit and hoping to get one of these (SSR is our home resort). Think they'll be any left by the 7 month window?

I think there are at least 26.

Sept is not a popular month. So yes I would think there would be a GV left at the 7 month time.

under wise you can ask a OKW member to exchange rooms with you. You rent something for them, he/she rents something for you.

OKW has 27 GVs. September should be an easier time to get one at the 7 month window, but I would reserve one at your home resort at the 11 month window and switch over at 7 months. That way, you will be assured of a place even if the GVs are not available at OKW. You could also do a direct exchange with an OKW owner who might want to try SSR.

I now know that there are 27 Grand Villas at OKW. Anyone know how many GV's are at SSR and how many are at BWV?

By the end of this year, SSR will have 24 GV's (there are 2 in each building) and will have 36 when the third phase is completed.

BWV has 7 GV's.

OKW has 27 GV's.

HH has 5 GV's.

VB has 6 Beach Cottages (GV's).

There are none at VWL or BCV.

Do you know what floors the GV's are on at the Boardwalk? Are they all one level or are there some two story GV's there?

I'm on a waitlist for a GV from 12/18-23. Has anyone heard of a GV waitlist coming through? If mine does then I can free up my 2br and studio at BWV for the same dates.

BW has both 2 story and single level GV's. I think they all have BW view and (I think) are are on floors 2-4.

All the BW GVs are all facing the BW. The single floor ones are on the 3rd (2), 4th (2) and 5th (1) floors. And the the two story ones are on the 5th floor - the second story being a "6th" floor in that section.

This is from my room information. I walked around the building last Dec and got these numbers.

We were thinking of booking a GV at OKW also, but for a March trip. As well our home resort is SSR. I called today and there is still availability for that time frame. The CM couldn't tell me how many were left, just that there were ones available.

My question is, are the GV as big as they look on all the videos/vitural tours? I have only seen the SSR GV, which I thought looked spectacular compared to their 2Bdr. But the OKW GV look HUGE.

Also, where are the GV located at OKW?

OKW GV's are found in Buildings 15,16,19,22,25,29,43,48,49,51,53 and 63.

They are 2375 sq. ft.

My home is BCV. I have a friend whose home is OKW. She made our Grand Villa reservation for early December. I transferred her my points into her account. I was afraid that if I waited until the seven month mark, I wouldn't have gotten the GV.

This is our first stay, in a GV, and I can't wait! My DH doesn't know I got it. I can't wait to see his face when we open that front door, heck, I can't wait to see all our faces!

Maybe you can do something along these lines?

We have a GV booked for Christmas that was booked by another member. I then booked him stays at BCV and BWV. Great for both of us. Now we are looking forward to our first stay in a GV.

I may attempt to book a Grand Villa for next summer also but have a question. Is there adequate transportation at OKW if you don't have your car? Are the villa's located in a convenient place?

We are hoping for a GV at OKW as well - we will be going in late April - early May to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. At the moment we have a 1BR and a 2BR booked at SSR, but it would be nice if we could all be together for the two weeks. We will be waitlisting as soon as we can (early October)... How likely do you guys think it is that we'll get what we want..? We do love Saratoga, but it would be nice to be able to have all meals together etc, and we haven't quite got enough points for a GV at SSR (which would have been our first choice circumstances permitting).

How about the availability of a OKWest Grand Villa then end of June @ the 7 month mark?

I guess as a backup I could book the BWV but I'm afraid I'll decide to keep it and there is a big point difference.
