Grand Gathering For DVC?

Can DVC members take advantage of the Grand Gatherings, too?

Yes, we are doing one this coming June.

If I remember correctly when you call Member Services they will transfer you over to the department that will take your party information and begin the process of assigning you a Grand Gathering number. They then email you this number in a few days. You can then call back into Member Services with this GG number and start booking the various events. We are doing all 4 that they offer and only 1 of them isn't covered under the DDP (mainly because a meal isn't served). We had to pay for that one in advance, but the others are under the DDP which we will pay for at checkin.

You sure can. I have done it several times. You have to set it up through MS if any in your group are staying on points. You can have some DVC reservations and some CRO reservations but MS has to handle the setup begause the Grand Gathering people can't see the DVC reservations.

Be sure to have all your info including everyone's reservation numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, e-mail, etc. for everyone in the group before you call and be prepared for it to take a long time for the MS advisor to enter all of the info. They take the info and e-mail you the GG number a day or two later.

I'm currently putting together a trip for 10
6-adults and 4-children...I've seen some feed on this
but never took real notice until this thread!
We're most likely going with DDP and so trading off
2 points for one of these events is GREAT!

The Illuminations gathering sounds awesome...perfect almost!
Good for the adults and children...food & characters...bring it on!

Hey, just a foot note(so to speak)...in 2004 my DW,DD & I
traded off 2 points apiece at the Polynesian and rented
Water Mice for an hour! That was a blast! The Water Mice at the
MK area are the fastest of all...the ones @ OKW just cruise...
