Grand Gathering at Tony's

We are booked for this for our October trip. But the only day it is available is our departure day. Starts at 9 AM and we are suppose to get on the ME bus at 10:45 - Leaving from WL. If we have checked out of WL, and left our bags with ME before going to MK is this doable timewise? How long is the breakfast? we will have a park ticket left and won't be doing anything in the park except the breakfast.

The only way it is possibly doable is with a taxi. And you cannot get a taxi at the MK entrance. You would have to either go to TTC via monorail or ferry or walk to the Contemporary to get a taxi. By that time you might as well have waited for the WL bus, and even then you can't anticipate how long you would have to wait. If your pickup time is 10:45 you should be at the entrance to WL with your entire party and all your carryon luggage at 10:15, so I don't think you will make this.

It took us until 10:30 to get out of there when we did it in 2009. The only way to try to minimize the time is to get there pretty early. When they do the big family pictures with Mickey, they call you up based on when you got there; so we were there later, and we had to wait for everyone else to get their pictures done. Either way, I really think you are pushing the time for the ME.

They may have changed things. The characters did the normal character rotations like any other meal when we were there in Sept.

Thanks for the information. I had really hoped it would work out since I don't know when we will have enough for a grand gathering again, but I don't want to risk missing the ME or our flight! I wish it was available another day while we are there, but it just didn't work out this time.
