Good meal ideas?, etc. anything to help me plan my trip so we can see and get a feel for every hotel inside WDW. Thanks alot

Hello. I agree that the resorts can be one of the most interesting things to do on a trip!

Most of the things you can do would be centered around eating, and sampling the different foods available in the atmospheres provided by each resort. For example, I would eat at Artists' Point at WL. You can see the geyser spout at its time and walk around the resort. You might want to try the Polynesian Luau, although not for the food, at the Poly. It will give you a feel for the tropics as you walk around before or after the show. It is also fun to watch the fireworks from there on the beach. It's fun to take the monorail all around the Lake and stop in the CR. Walk around the shops there watching the monorail come and go. You can enjoy the Hoop de Doo at Fort Wildernes. The food is slightly better than the Luau, IMHO, but the show is fun. It gives you a fun sense of the theming of the FWCG. A walk around the lake at CSR at night is fun. You can stop in the lounge to listen to the Mexican musicians playing a very interestint six or seven foot long marimba. It is neat. The food at the Pepper Market is also good, and you can watch the musicians from there as well. A surrey bike ride around the boardwalk is a fun way to enjoy the boardwalk hotels. You might want to go for a walk around Port Orleans and then take the boat to Downtown Disney.

These are just a few ideas.

The Grand Floridian is my favorite resort! I'm sure you are going to love it!

They do have some great restaurants within the resort. Gasparilla Grill is a quick service restaurant, they are open 24 hours. The Grand Floridian Cafe currently serves breakfast and lunch, and their menu is pretty American. The 1900 Park Fare is a character buffet serving breakfast and dinner. Narcossees is open for dinner, and is located on the water. It focuses on seafood, but they do have steaks and I think chicken as well. Citricos is a Meditterean restaurant, and uses citrus in their cooking. Victoria and Alberts is the only AAA 5 diamond restaurant in Central Florida, and is a very nice gormet restaurant (a jacket is required). You must also makes reservations. Dinner is a fixed price of around $75 or $80 per person, and wine pairings can bring that price up to around $140 (I think).

The victorian architecture is great, so you can always take pictures of it. They have lots of floral arrangements everywhere, too. :)

There are also many shops in the main building. M Mouse Merchantile has all the character merchandise you'd need. Other shops include Ballys, Commander Porters, Summer Lace, and Sandy Cove Gifts and Sundries.

I remembered another wonderful opportunity. It is at the AKL. There is so much to see at this resort. It is one of the best! Make a ressie for Boma, it is the African buffet restaurant. The food is very interesting and tasty! You can then walk around the resort at night and see the African artifacts. It is amazing. Definitely visit the AKL. You may want to make your next trip staying at AKL after seeing it.
