To consolidate some GF Tea postings.....

.....this was a walk-by photo-shooting - I was showing newbies through the tea room for future reference and stopped only long enough to take this picture....

Now there's a screensaver, for you!!

Thanks for posting the beautiful pictures...it reminded me just how much I enjoyed my first tea at the GF in February!!! I have 2 boys who, along with Dad, didn't think the "tea" would be a good match for them. I was lucky to get to go with some friends in February to an all girls tea and it was wonderful!!! We're going again next July when we both happen to be going to DW with our families at the same time. She's taking her daughter-in-law, granddaughter (age 5 and loves to play princess) and her mom and has invited me...I can't wait.

.. when they get a little older, they may want to go to the tea with you - because they will want to go to any Disney restaurant for a meal. My DS19 went for the first time this year and now wants to go each time. (DS17 still opts for Typhoon Lagoon.....)

Wonderful photos! They depict Afternoon Tea perfect! :goodvibes

I was there just a month ago. Aft Tea is always a good dining experience, esp away from the hot Florida sun. :cool2:

So far I have always ordered the Buckingham Palace. I really love their chicken salad sandwich. Theirs is like no chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. I opt for an extra of another sandwich and not the watercress and cuke.

The brand of tea they serve is "Tea". Very tasty. :cool1:

The only thing I was not too impressed by is the English Trifle. Guess I was expecting something more elaborate.
DH loves the big bowl of strawberries and whipped cream he gets.

And from my experience they are very particular on seating guests no earlier than their res. Not even by a few minutes, even though the seating does not change in those few minutes. :confused3 Very regimental in that area. But a great time and always treated well once seated. :3dglasses And guys will not feel out of place.

Thanks!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed...:goodvibes

I wish I could help, but I don't know enough. I have seen those symptoms when my web browser was not compatible with the web site, but I don't know more than that, sorry!

Sure, you can order it. They will work with you on any customization you want that is reasonable. My son made this up - it is just rich bread, toasted, with whipped cream on top.

does anybody know the time for tea. I mean do the open at 1pm and close at 4pm :goodvibes

They book reservations pretty much during those hours - I think the last reservation is around 3:30 - you can call 407-WDW-DINE for more precise information

The tea doesn't change much - and that is probably as expected - hence the pictures don't change much either. Still, I post anyway, because I enjoy them - and those who want to, can find them!

In on particular order.....

ohhh we will be there two weeks from today!!!! just my momma and me, we are letting the boys explore disneyquest...

My mom and I went to Afternoon Tea when we went in August of 2006 and it was wonderful. We actually got earlier than our time, as we did with all of our ADRs during this week. We had a CM who was assisting someone who was earning her ears. Mom and I each ordered our own seperate pots of tea. The place setting and china were beautiful!

One of the funny things that happened while were were there was that at one point, my mom wanted some more tea. She attempted to pick up her pot to pour herself some more, but the pot was heavy. I offered to do it for her, but the pot seemed to heavy as well as hot and I didn't want to make a mess trying to pour it. Apparently our server had been standing nearby and saw me trying to pour the tea for my mom. She came over and offered to pour for us, which we accepted. She also offered to pour my tea, but I declined because my pot was more manageable. We thanked her and she asked us if there was anything else we needed. We told her we were fine and she left us. As soon as she got out of earshot, my mom looked at me and asked, 'Does she have asbestos hands?', as she had poured the tea without using the tea cozy. lol
